IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 E. 26' STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. The Commissioners Court will consider the installation of a stop sign on Wayfarer Lane at its intersection with Nantucket Drive, and on Tucker Nuck at its intersection with Nantucket Drive All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or against the installation of a stop sign at these locations. The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. Office of the County Judge • 300 East 260 St. • Suite 114 Bryan, Texas 77603 • Fax: (979) 3614503 VOL (?6 ~ WjL II COMMISSIONERS' COURT PUBLIC HEARING September 12th, 2006 The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Public Hearing in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 12, 2006, with the following members of the Court present: Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding; Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Absent Carey Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4: Karen McQueen, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. Attached is a transcript of the meeting. Sims: ...in the Commissioner's Court will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday 12 September 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner's Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse. Commissioner's Court will consider the installation of a stop sign on Wayfarer Lane at it's intersection with Nantucket Drive, and on Tucker Nuck at it's intersection with Nantucket Drive. Wassermann: You have some information, don't you, that Gary has given me. Sims: You have something Gary has given you... Wassermann: Yes he does. Sims: ...to make a presentation here? O'Brian: No sir. Just wanted to answer questions about traffic studies and maps. So if you have any questions... Wassermann: I will say that at this particular intersection, we've had two accidents recently. No major injuries up to this point but with the increased development of Nantucket back behind what was originally there; new subdivision or new areas being developed, Nantucket Drive is a major entrance into Nantucket and this is getting to be somewhat of a situation back there where there is no yield, no stop signs or anything. With the two accidents we've had, we feel like it necessary that we install these stop signs. These are major intersections. Vol 9( Page 1-14 4 3 Sims: Ok. All right, all interested person are invited to attend this hearing and present their cause, if any, for or against the installation of a stop sign in these locations. Gallego: I apologize, I assume you are with Road and Bridge but I don't know what your name is. Wassermann: Yes. O'Brian: Doug O'Brian. Wassermann Doug O'Brian. Sims: Again, if you would like to make a presentation having to do with this intersection or these two intersections, excuse me. Hearing not... Wassermann: Excuse me. Road and Bridge has done all the speed assessments and also traffic counts and everything for a period of time there. Sims: Ok. Hearing nor seeing none, I will close this public hearing on the Nantucket Drive... Wayfarer Lane at it's intersection of Nantucket Drive and Tucker Nuck at it's intersection with Nantucket Drive.
