IN ROOM 108 OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance - Judge Sims. Consider and take action on agenda items 2 - 4: 2. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to §551.074 of the Texas Government Code to discuss personnel matters relative to the Coliseum Complex Director. 3. Continue in Executive Session pursuant to §551.087 of the Texas Government Code to discuss economic development negotiations. 4. Consider and possible action on the Executive Session. 5. Adjourn The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 7, 2006 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in room 108 in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 with the following members of the Court present: Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding; Eric Caldwell, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Kenny mallard, commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk. The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. The County Judge called the meeting to order and then announced the Court would convene into Executive Session pursuant to §551.087 of the Texas Government Code to discuss economic development negotiations. The County Judge opened the meeting at 3:15 p.m. and then reconvened into Executive Session at 3:20 p.m. pursuant to §551.74 of the Texas Government Code to discuss personnel matters relating to the Coliseum Complex Director. The County Judge opened the meeting at 3:55 p.m. and announced no action would be taken on either item. Vol Page There being no further business to come before the Court, the meeting was adjourned. Tax Resale Deed in the amount of $5,539.00 to be paid by Richard Pena. 12. Request from Judge Jim Locke, CCL #2, for approval to pay lodging expenses at $122.00 per night for one night while in attendance at the Annual State Bar Convention on 15-16 June 2006. The rate is above what Brazos County allows. 13. Request from Isaac Butler, Precinct 4 Constable, for permission to appoint the following individuals as non-paid Deputy Constables: a. Russell Nobles b. Tony Piccolo, Jr. 033 14. Permission to advertise Bid 20063, Construction of Communication Tower and Building at Millican (South Tower). 15. Permission to secure quotes for food purchases quarterly (rather than monthly) for the Juvenile Detention Center and the Jail Detention Center, in accordance with Local Government Code 262.024(A)(8)(d). 16. Acceptance of a Special Warranty Deed from Edgar Jack Irick and Edna Lee Irick for improvements to House Cemetery Road located in Precinct 2. 17. Acceptance of a Temporary Construction Easement from Edgar Jack Irick and Edna Lee Irick for improvements to House Cemetery Road located in Precinct 2. 18. Rescind action of the Commissioners Court on 16 May 2006 approving a request from Wickson Special Utility District to construct five (5) road bores and 3,600 ft. of 12 inch PVC water line in the right of way of Rock Prairie Road and I&GN Road. 19. Request from Wellborn Special Utility District to construct five (5) road bores and 3,600 ft. of 12 inch PVC water line in the right of way of Rock Prairie Road and I&GN Road. Site is located in Precinct 1. 20. Announcement of interest items and possible future agenda topics. 21. Call for citizen input and/or concerns. 22.
