BRAZOS COUNTY COMISSIONERS COURT
WORKSHOP SESSION
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A
WORKSHOP ON THURSDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2005 AT 9:30 A.M.
The Workshop will be held in room 108 of the Brazos County Courthouse, 300 E. 26th
Street, Bryan, Texas for the purpose of hearing an overview of the Brazos County
Retirement Plan and information on the changes of HB 633, 79t1i Legislative Session.
The Brazos County Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign
interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make arrangements, call (979) 361-0102.

WORKSHOP SESSION
SEPTEMBER 8, 2005
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a
Workshop Session in room 108 in the Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday,
September 8, 2005, with the following members of the Court
present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioner's Court met to hear a presentation of
the Brazos County Retirement Plan and information on the
changes of HB 633 passed in the 79th Legislative Session. The
County Judge opened the meeting and then turned the floor over
to the Human Resources Director who introduced Howard Miller
representative of the Texas County and District Retirement
System (TCDRS). Mr. Miller reviewed the changes made by the
legislature and how it affects the County.

The Court can increase the County match by 5 percent
increments and can select either to make the match go back and
forward or forward only.
There were a few questions asked.
The County Judge then adjourned the workshop.
