ON TUESDAY 19 JULY 2005 AT 1:30 P.M.
The orkshop will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Brazos County
Court use, 300 East 26th Street, Suite 115, Bryan, Texas for the purpose of hearing a
prese tion by John Carson of Brookstone, L.P. about what a construction manager at
risk is d how this service might benefit Brazos County.

WORKSHOP SESSION
JULY 19, 2005
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a
W# kshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
C rthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 1:30
pm. on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, with the following members of
t Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Lloyd Wassermann, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioner's Court met to hear a presentation by
J#n Carson of Brookstone, L. P. about what a construction
m ager at risk is and how this service might benefit Brazos
C nty.
The County Judge introduced Mr. John Carson, Steve
D hmon and David Webb all of Brookstone, L.P. Mr. Carson
e lained that a Construction Manager at Risk is responsible
f# all pre-construction services. The Construction Manager
t4}es the place of the General Contractor. He starts as soon

a$'the architect does to insure things go smoothly and catch
a4 problems early on. The fee is based on the project cost.
