A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
lnty, Texas was held in the Brazos County Commissioners
lrtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
'inning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 with the
lowing members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Eric Caldwell, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and
'icials that were in attendance.
Commissioner Peters gave the invocation and led the
~dge of allegiance.
Under citizen input/and or concerns, the following spoke:

but will apply for another half million dollar grant that

The next matter for the Court's consideration was
modification of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement
Medical Examiner Services between Brazos County and
T~ vis County. This is authorized by Sections 7.02 and
1] 0 of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Medical
E> ~miner Services. On motion by Commissioner Peters,
sc ;onded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted
ur ~nimously to approve the modification of the rate from
SI 800 to $2,000 for each body. The new rate will be
el 'ective October 1, 2004. A copy is attached.
The next matter for the Court's consideration was an

B~ )adcast System. This is authorized by the Interlocal
C( )peration Act, V.T.C.A. Government Code Chapter 791.

The next matter before the Court was approval of the

;cal year 2005. This contract is for reimbursement for

r 2005. On motion by Commissioner Cauley, seconded by
missioner Mallard, the Court voted unanimously to
>rove the Title IV-E Child Welfare Services Renewal
~tract for fiscal year 2005. A copy is attached.
The Court next considered a request by Bryan Texas
_lities for installation of "No Parking" signs along
Rye School and Mumford roadsides of Lake Bryan as a

missioner Cauley, seconded by Commissioner Peters, the

"No Parking" signs. The County Judge asked Ray Crow
the Road and Bridge Department to contact the City of

r( ;emmended acceptance of the bid submitted by Accu-Chem
L~ }oratories. On motion by Commissiener Peters, secended

Pursuant I~ Sections 7.02 and 11.0 of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for MEDICAL
EXAMIi~R SERVICES (ICAMES), between Travis County and Brazos County, this letter
shall serv as notice of a change in the rate for Medical Examiner Services, effective October 1,
2004. T~ vis County has determined that this rate increase is necessary in order to cover the
increased .ctual costs to Travis County of providing services.

3.02 of the current ICAMES between Travis County and Brazos County sets a
payment for Medical Examiner Services at one thousand, eight hundred
($1,800) for each body. The new rate for Medical Examiner Services,
re October 1, 2004, is two thousand dollars ($2,000) for each body.

Under Se, ion 7.02 of the ICAMEs, Travis County may amend the rate by sending notice of the
rate chan$]: at least sixty (60) days before the change is to become effective. If Brazos County
does not q!~nd a notice in compliance with Section 11.0 of the ICAMES stating that the change is
unaccept~le prior to its effective date, Brazos County shall be deemed to have accepted the rate

JOINT PURCHASE OF BROADCAST SYSTEM
~e parties will jointly purchase the Broadcast System which will be designed to serve
