The attached sheets contain the names of the citizens and icials that were in attendance. The County Judge gave the invocation and led the pledge allegiance. The Court next heard a presentation of the delinquent tax Drt presented by Shelburne Veselka, representative of teary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. Attorneys at Law. There was no citizen input/and or concerns. On motion by Commissioner Peters, seconded by missioner Mallard, the Court voted unanimously to approve changes as submitted. The County Judge is authorized to convey 8 acres, more or less, part of Lot 1, Block 1, Thomas ~hts Addition, for the sum of Eleven Thousand Seven Hundred No Hundredths Dollars ($11,700.00) payable to the Brazos .ty Tax Assessor-Collector for distribution as provided by and to execute a deed to Matilde Ibarra. The next matter before the Court was a request by the Drmation Technology Department for adoption of the proposed cy titled, "Policy for the Use and Security of Brazos .ty Computer Systems Access Codes for Systems Lnistration and Servers." On motion by Commissioner Ley, seconded by Commissioner Peters, the Court voted nimously to approve the policy. After some discussion, nissioner Caldwell asked to amend the policy to remove, Lnitions 5 and 6 and correct the misspelling on page 3. nissioner Peters seconded the motion and it carried nimously. Network- The collection of physical components that comprise the system used to connect the County's computer equipment. Network Equipment - Computer equipment specifically designed or used for the operation and management of a network. Server - Computer equipment used to provide application, data storage, or other services to other computer equipment. User - Any individual who uses computer equipment. End-User - An Individual who uses the applications software to access the data stored on computer equipment in the everyday performance of their job. This user is not involved in the administration or management of the computer equipment. Root User - The top administrator on a server or other computer equipment. This individual has unrestricted access to the management of the computer equipment and software. Typically, this user installs application software, but does not use it. User-ID or Access Code - A series of characters that uniquely identifies a user. Password - A secret series of characters that when combined with the User-Id validates that a User is authorized to access the computer equipment or software. Once completed, the list will be printed and an editable version will be recorded to two CD's. The list will then be removed from the computer used to compile it. It sh, end ~ user- serve A printed list and the first CD will be stored in a bank safety deposit box that requires 2-person access. The second CD will be placed in a lock-box within the main computer facility where the only access will be by the I.T. Director and the Senior Network Administrator or the Assistant Network Administrator. Access to the bank safety deposit box will be limited to the County Judge, the County Treasurer, and the County Auditor with any two of the three being required for access. The Auditor will maintain a person, date and time record of all access to the safety deposit box and will notify the I.T. Director of such access. Access to the safety deposit box shall be for the following purposes: To allow for replacement of the list with an updated list and CD when the access codes and or passwords on the list are changed. If bank policy permits, bank personnel will shred the old list and render the CD useless in the presence of the Auditor. Else, the Auditor must shred the list and destroy the CD. To verify that the list is accurate. Since accessing some devices may cause interruption of processing, verification events may be scheduled to avoid such conflicts when required. The Auditor, or designated Assistant Auditor, in conjunction with an appropriate I.T. staff member, shall perform such verification. To allow for access to the computer equipment in response to a catastrophic event or some other emergency that renders the appropriate I.T. staff members unable to access the computer equipment.
