A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
~nty, Texas was held in the Brazos County Commissioners
lrtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
· inning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2004 with the
lowing members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens
d officials that were in attendance.
The first matter before the Court was the acceptance of
e resignation of Precinct 1 Constable James Marrow,
fective 12:00 midnight June 11, 2004. On motion by
mmissioner Peters, seconded by Commissioner Mallard, the
urt voted unanimously to accept the resignation of
nstable James Marrow.
The Court next considered an appointment to fill the
cancy of office of Constable, Precinct 1. On motion by
mmissioner Caldwell, seconded by Commissioner Peters, the

~rt voted unanimously to appoint Archie Clark as
~stable, Precinct 1.
The Court next considered approval of deputies for
~stable, Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Caldwell,
2onded by Commissioner Mallard, the Court voted unanimously
authorize the appointment of Ernest Ortiz as Chief Deputy
J Robert Huet as Deputy. Ail appointments become effective
of midnight June 11, 2004, until that time they remain
Jer Constable Marrow.
Archie Clark thanked the Court and informed them that
Jge Ellis has agreed to swear him in on Saturday the 12th.
Constable Marrow asked to speak and praised Deputy Clark
u his ability to fill the Constable position and commended
~ Court on choosing to appoint Archie Clark.
There being no further business to come before the
urt, the meeting was adjourned.
