A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
C¢ ~nty, Texas was held in the Brazos County Commissioners
C¢ ~rtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
b( ~inning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 with the
f( lowing members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Eric Caldwell, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and
oJ!i~icials that were in attendance.
Commissioner Peters gave the invocation and led the
p~.~dge of allegiance.
There was no citizen input/and or concerns.
The Court next considered Budget Amendment %03/04-28.1
t~ :ough 28.4, which would reallocate funds for Constable,
Pi ~cinct 1, Information Technology Department, and; transfer
from Contingency to Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3;
increase the budget for the MPO Grant. The County Judge
stioned the Director of the Information Technology

missioner Cauley, seconded by Commissioner Peters, the

The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of

The Court next considered renewal of a lease

lease space on Gray Texas' radio tower to operate a

for the period of one year commencing on October 1,
)3 and ending on September 3, 2004. The County agrees
pay the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per

Missioner Peters, the Court voted unanimously to renew
lease agreement between Brazos County and Gray Texas,
A copy of the Lease Agreement is attached.
The next matter for consideration by the Court was
approval of the National School Lunch Program
tract. The contract is between Brazos County and the
:as Department of Human Services for food for the
renile inmates. Term of the contract is from July 1,
)4 through June 30, 2005. On motion by Commissioner
~ley, seconded by the County Judge, the Court voted
~nimously to approve the contract. A copy is attached.
The Court next considered a request by the
formation Technology Department to pay the LaSalle Hotel
one night's accommodations for a consultant. The
sultant was here for the System Z, Road and Bridge
)artment program. On motion by Commissioner Cauley,

~nimously to approve the payment to the LaSalle Hotel in
amount of $74.90.
On motion by Commissioner Cauley, seconded by
missioner Peters, the Court voted unanimously to

The term of this lease shall be TWELVE (12) months retroactive to the 1st
,f October, 2003, and ending on the 30th day of September, 2004, unless
;r terminated as herein provided. Thereafter, Lessee shall have the right to
this lease on a month to month basis, but in no event to exceed twelve
