A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
.~nty, Texas was held in the Brazos County Commissioners
.~rtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
~ginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 with the
lowing members of the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Eric Caldwell, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and
icials that were in attendance.
Commissioner Peters gave the invocation and led the
.~dge of allegiance.
There was no citizen input/and or concerns.
The Court next considered Budget Amendment #03/04-24.1
~rough 24.3, which would adjust the budget of LEOSE to
~klect funds received, transfer funds from Contingency to
t~tice of the Peace, Precinct 1; and set up a budget for the
~rcotlcs Task Force. On motion by Commissioner Peters,
~tonded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously
approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which

The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of
~loyees as submitted on the attached Personnel Action
R~uests. On motion by Commissioner Peters, seconded by
Cz ioner Mallard, the Court voted unanimously to approve
changes as submitted.

ai iversary of the National Fair Housing law that provides an

o ~portunity. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by
C ~missioner Cauley the Court moved to proclaim the month of

The next matter for consideration by the Court was a

The Court next considered a request by the Task Force for
a ~proval to purchase a state vehicle on state contract at a
c ~t of $14,551.00. On motion by Commissioner Cauley,
sc~onded by Commissioner Peters, the Court voted unanimously
t¢ approve the request.
The next matter before the Court was a request by the
Ptrchasing Department for approval of a new copier lease
ac :eement for the Jail to replace two older machines. The
m,~Bthly lease that covers both machines would be decreased
f~;gm $676.00 per month to $650.00 per month. On motion by
Cc~missioner Peters, seconded by Commissioners Cauley and
M~[lard, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request.
The Court next considered a request by the County Judge's
o !lice for approval to pay an invoice that exceeded the
o ;¢ginal purchase order. The original purchase order was in
ti amount of $100.00 but the invoice totaled $190.73. This
wi for the framing of the most recent Commissioners Court
mc group portrait. On motion by Commissioner Peters,
s ~onded by the County Judge, the Court voted unanimously to

The Court next considered acceptance of the Bryan Texas
