SPECIAL MEETING
FEBRUARY 16, 2004
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of
'azos County, Texas was held in the Brazos County
mmissioners Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan,
'azos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday,
bruary 16, 2004 with the following members of the Court
esent:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Absent;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the
tizens and officials that were in attendance.
The Court proceeded to canvas the results of the
~ecial Venue Tax Election held February 7, 2004. The
.unty Judge read aloud the following results:

motion by Commissioner Peters, seconded by
missioner Mallard, the Court voted unanimously to
:cept as true the totals as tabulated by the County's

Canvass Report
Special Venue Project and Tax Election
February 7, 2004
Authorizing Brazos County to undertake the Brazos County Assembly
Hall Venue Project as a community venue project; and further authorizing
Brazos County to impose and collect a hotel occupancy tax at a rate not to
exceed a maximum of 2% of the price paid for a room in a hotel in the
county all for the purpose of financing such venue project.
