NOTICE OF MEETING
WORKSHOP SESSION
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A WORKSHOP SESSION ON
MONDAY, MAY 5, 2003 AT 2:00 P.M. IN ROOM 108 OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY
COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, BRYAN, TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING IS FOR A PRESENTATION REGARDING THE
CITY OF BRYAN'S 800 MEGAHERTZ RADIO PROJECT AND THE COUNTY'S
PROPOSED PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROJECT.
ALL INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive
services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make arrangements, call (979) 361-4102.

WORKSHOP SESSION

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a
Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00
p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2003, with the following members of
the Court present:
Randy Sims, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Duane Peters, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Kenny Mallard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to listen
to a presentation on the City of Bryan's 800 megahertz radio
project and the County's proposed participation in this
project. The follow individuals spoke on the need to be able
to communicate in times of emergencies:
a) Gerald Kinard, Sheriff's Deputy
b) Demerle Girodano, Emergency Management Coordinator
c) Greg Petrey, Director 9-1-1
d) Ron Mayworm, City of Bryan
