Consider and take action on budget amendments. 6. Consider and take action on the appointment of Presiding Election Judge's and Alternate Presiding Judge's. 7. Consider and take action on a letter of support for a Statewide County Indigent Health Care Committee. 8. Consider and take action on the approval to advertise ve- hicle lease for Task Force. 9. Consider and take action on award of health insurance bids for Brazos County and authorize the payment thereof. 10. Consider and take action on personnel change of status. 11. Consider and take action on payment of claims. 12. Adjourn. 'O! 0 A F"~. f 4 COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING JULY 27, 1992 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 1992, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The first matter before the Court was a presentation of an American flag to the Court by the members of the Brazos County 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus Group. The spokes person of the group stated that while in Washington D.C. they were able to watch how the American government worked. The flag was presented to the group for 100% voter participation. The members of the Court thanked the group for the flag. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the t - Commissioners' Court meeting July 27, 1992 C~ Commissioners' Court meetings held April 27, 1992, May 4, 1992, May 11, 1992, May 18, 1992, May 26, 1992 and June 1, 1992. Commissioner Wilcox moved to approve all the minutes with the exception of the minutes dated May 26, 1992. There was no second to the motion. The County Judge explained that the minutes of May 26, 1992 reflected an accurate account of i the proceedings. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted with the stipulation that the Court reconsider the abandonment of Live Oak Street in Wellborn. The Court next considered Budget Amendment #91/92-23, which would transfer funds budgeted from the Non Departmental Department to the office of the Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Place 2 for autopsies. Commissioner Sims asked if all deaths required an autopsy. He was told, if there was a possibility of a later investigation or court case, an autopsy was ordered. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commis- sioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to forward a letter of support to the Texas Association of Counties in reference to a state wide County Indigent Health Care Committee. The next matter for consideration was authorization to advertise for bids to lease vehicles for the Task Force. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids to lease vehicle. Consideration of the health insurance bids for Brazos County was tabled until the Court receives a report from the consultant. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of i the following employees.
