COMMISSIONERS' COURT REGULAR MEETING MAY 11, 1992 A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 1992, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant Carol Palmer Admin. Asst. to County Judge Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners I' Rosalie Todaro Auditor's Office Sandie Walker Deputy Treasurer Frank Palermo Road & Bridge Department Commissioner Sims gavle the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. on motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to change the time for the Commissioners' Court meeting to 9:00 a.m.. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the Commissioners' Court meetings held February 3, 1992, Februay 10, 1992 and February 11, 1992. On motion by commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted w unanimously to approve the minutes with the deletion of the : word not on page three. The Court next considered Budget Amendment #91/92-15 'I which would reallocate funds budgeted for the Minimum Security Jail and the Brazos Center. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. The Court next considered authorizing work outside of county rights-of-ways for health purposes. The Road and Bridge Department requested permission to enter the private property of Robert Zawalski on Greens Prairie Road to bury a dead bull. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the work. The Court acknowledged receipt of the Extension Service reports for April 1992. The Court acknowledged receipt of reports from County and Precinct Offices showing revenues collected and remitted to the County Treasurer. An excerpt from those reports is attached hereto. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees. Traf. Task Force Claims-08997-thru-08998- Commissioner Sims asked if the Judge had received the Attorney General's opinion regarding the purchase of coffee for jurors. The County Judge replied that he had not. He did say that he has requested an opinion on dues paid to professional associations. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Claims as submitted.
