BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING
THE GOMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY,
MAY 11, 1992, AT 8:30 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115,
BRYAN, TEXAS.
1. Invocation.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Consider and take action on the approval of the minutes of
the meetings held on February 3, 1992, February 10, 1992,
and February 11, 1992.
4. Consider and take action on budget amendments.
5. Consider and take action on work outside county rights-of-
ways for the enhancement of county road projects.
6. Acknowledge receipt of Extension Service, County, and Pre-
cinct Office reports.
7. Consider and take action on personnel change of status.
8. Consider and take action on payment of claims.
9. Adjourn.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
REGULAR MEETING
MAY 11, 1992
A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 8:30
a.m. on Monday, May 11, 1992, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Commissioner Sims gavle the invocation and led the pledge
of allegiance.
on motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner
Turner, the Court voted unanimously to change the time for the
Commissioners' Court meeting to 9:00 a.m..
The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the
Commissioners' Court meetings held February 3, 1992, Februay
10, 1992 and February 11, 1992. On motion by commissioner
Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted

unanimously to approve the minutes with the deletion of the

The Court next considered Budget Amendment #91/92-15

which would reallocate funds budgeted for the Minimum Security
Jail and the Brazos Center. On motion by Commissioner Sims,
seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously
to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which
is attached hereto.
The Court next considered authorizing work outside of
county rights-of-ways for health purposes. The Road and
Bridge Department requested permission to enter the private
property of Robert Zawalski on Greens Prairie Road to bury a
dead bull. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by
Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to authorize
the work.
The Court acknowledged receipt of the Extension Service
reports for April 1992. The Court acknowledged receipt of
reports from County and Precinct Offices showing revenues
collected and remitted to the County Treasurer. An excerpt
from those reports is attached hereto.
The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of
the following employees.

on motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner
Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the changes as
submitted.
The Court next considered the following Claims as
submitted by the County Treasurer for payment:

Commissioner Sims asked if the Judge had received the
Attorney General's opinion regarding the purchase of coffee
for jurors. The County Judge replied that he had not. He did
say that he has requested an opinion on dues paid to
professional associations. On motion by the County Judge,
seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to
approve the Claims as submitted.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.

On this the 11th day of May 1992 at a special meeting of the
Commissioners' Court, the following members were present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding
Gary Norton, Commissioner, Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner, Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner, Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner, Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following proceedings were held:
THAT WHEREAS, on May 11, 1992, the Court heard and approved a
budget amendment for the 1991-1992 budget year for Brazos County,
Texas.
WHEREAS, an expenditure is necessary due to the necessity to
meet unusual and unforeseen conditions which could not be
reasonably included in the original budget adopted September 3,
1991, the following amendment(s) to the original are hereby
authorized, as described on the attached 1 page(s).
