TEXAS AGENDA BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' COURT MEETING THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON MONDAY, MARCH 30, 1992, AT 8:30 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Invocation. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Signing of a Proclamation designating the month of April as "Sexual Assault Awareness Month." 4. Consider and take action on the approval of the minutes of the meeting held on October 28, 1991. 5. Consider and take action on budget amendments. 6. Consider and take action on request from Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System to install pipelines in the following county rights-of-ways: a. Jones Road - Precinct 4 b. Silver Hill Road - Precinct 4 c. Leonard Road - Precinct 4 d. Bird Pond Road - Precinct 3 7. Consider and take action on request from Merit Energy Com- pany to install pipelines in county rights-of-ways of Demo- crat Road (3 locations) in Precinct 3. 8. Consider and take action on request from GTE Southwest In- corporated to install communication lines in the following county rights-of-ways: a. Cain Road - Precinct 1 b. Ferrill Creek Road - Precinct 2 9. Consider and take action on personnel change of status. 10. Consider and take action on payment of claims. 11. Adjourn. is V COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 30, 1992 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 1992, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turnery Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. I The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Carol Palmer Admin. Asst. to County Judge Rosalie Todaro Auditor's Office Cheryl Turney Auditor's Office A. H. Winder County Engineer Jake Cangelose Civil Defense Jim Hiney Bryan/College Station Eagle Linda Castoria Rape Crisis Center Paula McCune Rape Crisis Center Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The County Judge read aloud a Proclamation designating the month of April as "Sexual Assault Awareness Month". The Court joins with the local Rape Crisis Center to promote awareness of sexual assault in the community. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton the Court i moved to proclaim the month of April as "Sexual Assault Awarness Month" throughout Brazos County. The County Judge then presented the signed Proclamation to Mrs. Linda Castoria, representing the local Rape Crisis Center. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the Commissioners' Court meetings held October 28, 1991. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted. r Commissioners' Court meeting March 30, 1992 • E The Court next considered Budget Amendment #91/92-11, which would reallocate funds budgeted for the Minimum Security Jail. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. The Court next considered four requests by Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System. The first was to place two (2) road bores under Jones Road for the purpose of installing two (2) 10" gas gathering pipelines in Precinct 4. 1 The second to place two (2) road bores under Silver Hill Road for the purpose of installing two (2) 10" gas gathering pipelines in Precinct 4. The third was to place two (2) road bores under Leonard Road for the purpose of installing one (1) 10" gas gathering pipeline and one (1) 12" gas gathering pipeline in Precinct 4 and the forth was to place a system of road bores under Bird Pond Road for the purpose of installing a welded steel gas gathering pipeline in Precinct 3. The County Engineer stated that all appeared to be in order and recommended approval of all four requests. On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the d Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System and authorized the installation. A copy of the request is attached hereto. The Court next considered three (3) requests by Merit ' a Energy Company to place a road bores under Democrat Road. The first, approximately .95 of a mile from its intersection with . State Highway 21 for the purpose of installing a 4.5" salt water disposal pipeline. - The second, approximately 0.5 miles x from its intersection with Oak Lake road for the purpose-of installing a 10" salt water disposal pipeline. The third, northwest of its intersection with Oak Lake Road for the purpose of installing a 4.5" salt water disposal pipeline all in Precinct 3. The County Engineer stated that all appeared to be in order and recommended approval. On motion by -f, 17-h I Commissioners' Court meeting March 30, 1992 Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Merit Energy Company and authorized the installation. A copy of the request is attached hereto. The Court next considered two requests by GTE Southwest. The first, to place a buried communications cable under and along Cain Road in Precinct 1. The second, to place buried communications cable along the right-of-way of Ferrill creek Road in Precinct 2. The County Engineer stated that all appeared to be in order and recommended approval. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of GTE Southwest and authorized the installation. A copy of the request is attached hereto. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees.
