THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WILL MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON MONDAY,
MARCH 23, 1992, AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115,

SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 23, 1992
i A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Monday, March 23, 1992, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.

Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge

of allegiance.
The Court next considered Budget Amendment 1191-033, which
is an audit adjustment to the 1991 budget. On motion by
Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the
Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as
submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto.
The Court next considered the request from Texas A&M
University for the renaming a portion of FM 60, from the
College Station city limits to the Brazos River, to Raymond
Stotzer Parkway. The County Judge stated that he thought it
was an honor that was well deserved. Commissioner Wilcox
stated that he felt that Joe Hanover was just as deserving.
On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner
Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the renaming of
FM 60 from the College Station city limits to the Brazos
River, Raymond Stotzer Parkway.

Commissioners' Court meeting March 23, 1992
The Court next considered the request by Ferguson
Burleson County Gas Gathering System to place an 8" steel
pipeline within the right-of-way of Steep Hollow Road in
Precinct 3. The County Engineer stated Ferguson had yet to
complete repairs for damage done on other roads. He did say
that all appeared to be in order and recommended approval with
the stipulation that Ferguson complete repairs and damage to
the orther roads. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by
Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve
the request of Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System
and authorized the installation with the previously noted
stipulation. A copy of the request is attached hereto.
The Court next considered the request by Union Pacific
Texas Gathering, Inc. to install a 8" P.V.C. saltwater
pipeline within the right-of-way of Silver Hill Road and Bush
Lane in Precinct 4. The County Engineer stated that all
appeared to be in order and recommended approval. On motion
by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the
Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Ferguson
Crossing Pipeline- Company and authorized the installation.
A copy of the request is attached hereto.
The Court next considered the request by Clajon Gas
Pipeline Company to place a natural gas pipeline within the
right-of-way and under Lacy Well Road in Precinct 4. The
County Engineer stated that all appeared to be in order and
recommended approval. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox,
seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to
approve the request of Clajon Gas Pipeline Company and
authorized the installation. A copy of the request is
attached hereto.
The Court next considered three requests by GTE Southwest
to place a buried cable under and along Merka Road and Hollow
Heights Drive in Precinct 3 and place buried cable under and
along Timberline Drive in Precinct 1. The County Engineer
stated that all appeared to be in order and recommended

approval. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by
Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the
request of GTE Southwest and authorized the installation. A
copy of the request is attached hereto.

Norton, the Court voted unanimously to not call the Court into
Closed Executive Session.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.

On this the 23rd day of March 1992 at a special meeting of the
Commissioners' Court, the following members were present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding
Gary Norton, Commissioner, Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner, Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner, Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner, Precinct 4;

The following proceedings were held:
THAT WHEREAS, on March 23, 1992, the Court heard and approved
a budget amendment for the 1991 budget year for Brazos County,
Texas.
WHEREAS, an expenditure is necessary due to the necessity to
meet unusual and unforeseen conditions which could not be
reasonably included in the original budget adopted October 1, 1990,
the following amendment(s) to the original are hereby authorized,
as described on the attached 3 page(s).
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this the 23rd day of March, 1992.

occur to any eALsting utility lines in tits right-of-way.
5. That the line will be constructed and maintained on tits county right-
of way in accordance with governing laws.
6. That tits line or lines will be constructed no less than forty-eight
inches (48") lower than tits lowest part of the drainnge or bar ditch and
the drainage Is to be considered at least two feet (2') below tits center
of tits roadway,
7. That all roads be bored to forty feet (40') on either side of tits
centerline of tits right-of--way or cooed for such distance.
8. That all sites will be barraceded during construction period.
9. That tits normal charge is $500 per crossing and/or $40 per rod when
paralleling the roadway established by the Commissioners' Court on

ATTENTION COUNTY JUDGE: DICK HOLMGREEN
Formal notice is hereby given that GTE SOUTHWEST INCORPORATED will construct a communication line
within the right-of-way of a County Road in BRAZOS County,
TEXAS as follows:
Beginning 276' east of intersection of Timberline Dr. and Blueridge
Dr., a buried cable will be placed in south ROW of Timberline or
extending east for distance of 1668'. At this point, a 40' bore
will be placed across Timberline Dr. The cable will be 5' in ROW
30" deep.
The location and description of this line and associated appurtenances is more fully shown
by four copies of drawings attached to this notice. The line will be constructed and maintained
on the County Road right-of-way In accordance with governing laws.
Notwithstanding any other provision contained herein, it is expressly understood that tender of this notice
by the GTE Southwest Incorporated does not constitute a waiver, surrender, abandonment or impairment of any
property rights, franchise, easement, license, authority, permission, privilege or right now granted by law or may
be granted in the future and any provision or provisions so construed shall be null and void.
Construction of this line will begin on or after 3-15 192-.

Formal notice is hereby given that GTE SOUTHWESBRA INCORPORATED will construct a communication line
within t h ri St-of-way of a County Road in County,
as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of Merka Road and Hollow
Heights Dr. a buried cable will be placed 2' off of the
fence line at a minimum depth of 30" for a distance of
5921. Two bores will also be placed in this route as
shown on attached work print.
The location and description of this line and associated appurtenances Is more fully shown
by four copies of drawings attached to this notice. The line will be constructed and maintained
on the County Road right-of-way in accordance with governing laws.
Notwithstanding any other provision contained herein, it Is expressly understood that tender of this notice
