The Purchasing Agent told the Court that she had preliminary quotes from other vendors but that the quotes were likely to change in the sealed competitive bid process due to fleet incentives from the manufacturer. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioners' Court meeting January 13, 1992 Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to purchase the vehicle at $12,540.76 through the State Purchasing Program. The next matter for consideration was approval to advertise for bids for an Intercom Control System for the jail facility - Bid No. 92-615. Constable Pittman replied that a computer would help, but still need a clerk to use it. Commissioner Sims asked if a part time clerk would solve some of the problem. Constable Pittman answered that it would. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to table consideration until a later date.
