NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 6701d, VFRNON'S CIVIL STATUTES THE
COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER TRAFFIC
REGULATIONS ON VARIOUS COUNTY ROADS. THE PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE
HELD IN THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE
115, BRYAN, TEXAS. THE DATE OF THE HEARING IS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER
21, 1991 AND THE TIME OF THE HEARING IS 10:00 A.M.
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT IS PROPOSING TO IMPLEMENT SPEED LIMITS ON
THE FOLLOWING ROADS:GRASSBUR ROAD IN PRECINCT 3 AS FOLLOWS:
1. GRASSBUR- ROAD
A. From FM 1179 to Elmo Weedon Road recommended speed
limit is 45 miles per hour
B. Curve No. 1 - 0.1 miles west of Prospect Lane
recommended safe speed of 35 miles per hour.
C. Curve No. 2 - 0.1 miles cast of Scasta Road
recommended safe speed of 45 miles per hour.
D. Cure No. 3 - Intersection of Riley Road
recommended safe speed of 25 miles per hour.
2. WILCOX LANE
A. From FM 974 to FM 2776 recommended speed limit of
40 miles per hour.
PROPOSED SIGN INSTALLATION IN SUBDIVISION AND ON COUNTY ROADS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. FOX FIRE SUBDIVISION
A. Faulkner Drive - four way stop sign
B. Frost Drive - four way stop sign
2. WILCOX LANE - Slow Children at Play sign - to be
installed in four locations

PUBLIC HEARING
NOVEMBER 21, 1991
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider traffic Regulation on various
county roads pursuant to Section 2.301 of the County Road and
Bridge Act, Art. 6702-1 subchapter D, Vernon's Civil Statutes
in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday,
November 21, 1991, with the following members of the Court
present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Absent;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Presiding ;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Ruth McLeod Administrative Assistant
Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners
Ray Crow Road & Bridge Department
Cheryl Turney County Auditor's Office
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed implementation of traffic
regulations in the following locations:
SPEED LIMIT IMPLEMENTATION:
1. Grassbur Road
a. From FM 1179 to Elmo Weedon Road
recommended speed limit is 45 miles per
hour
b. Curve No. 1 - 0.1 miles west of Prospect
Lane recommended safe speed of 35 miles
per hour.
C. Curve No. 2 - 0.1 miles east of Scasta
Road recommended safe speed of 45 miles
per hour.
d. Curve No. 3 - intersection of Riley Road
recommended safe speed of 25 miles per
hour.
2. Wilcox Lane
a. From FM 974 to FM 2776 recommended speed
limit of 40 miles per hour.

AS FOLLOWS:

a. Faulkner Drive - four way stop sign
b. Frost Drive - four way stop sign
2. Wilcox Lane - Slow Children at Play sign - to be installed
in four locations
commissioner Wilcox stated in his opening remarks that
proper notice of the hearing had been given according to law.
He outlined the procedures for the hearing and asked those in
attendance for any comments on the subject and asked that they
state their names and organization.
There being no one present to express commentary for or
against the proposed traffic regulations, Commissioner Wilcox
closed the public hearing.
The foregoing minutes have been examined and approved in open
