Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The public hearing will be held on"Friday, September 27, at 10:00 a.m. at the Brazos County Courthouse, 300 E. 26th Street, Room 115, Bryan, Texas. All interested citizens are invited to attend and be heard. M • a i, VOL V --PAGE 2L2 COMMISSIONERS' COURT PUBLIC HEARING SEPTEMBER 27, 1991 C A Public Hearing was held by the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 E I w a.m. on Friday, September 27, 1991, with the following members of the Court present: i R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Absent; k Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Presiding; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; ; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. i i The following citizens and officials were in attendance: i Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant I Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners Larry Gustavis Brazos County Resident Ed Fulton Brazos County Resident ~ Commissioner Wilcox opened the Public Hearing and announced the purpose of the hearing was to hear commentary on the proposal to increase taxes for 1991. He stated the increase was 5.9% above the effective tax rate of $.42, published by the Tax Assessor /Collector. The proposed tax rate for 1991 is $.44 per $100.00 valuation of all real property in Brazos County. He asked for comments from the audience. Mr. Larry Gustaves, asked the Court for an explanation of what the hearing was for and what was being taxed. The members of the Court gave a brief synopsis of the process. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to recommend the proposed tax rate against all property in Brazos County, Texas. There being no further business to come before the Court, the meeting was adjourned. i The foregoing minutes have been examined and approved in open Court this the day of 19_~ in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas.
