IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Invocation. 2. Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Consider and take action on the approval of the minutes of the meetings held on May 13, 1991 and May 20, 1991. 4. Consider and take action on the appointment of Presiding Election Judge's and Alternate Presiding Judge's for 1991 and 1992 for each county election precinct. 5. Consider and take action on request from Ferguson Crossing Pipeline Company to install welded steel pipeline in two (2) county rights-of-ways locations of Elmo Weedon Road in Pre- cinct 3. 6. Consider and take action on Final Plat for Tall Timber Es- tates,in Precinct 1. 7. Consider and take action on personnel change of status. 8. Consider and take action on payment of claims. 9. Executive Session to discuss personnel 6252-17(2)(g). 10. Consider and take action on Executive Session. 11. Adjourn. VOL_ X PAGE leg I COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING JULY 1, 1990 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 1991, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Carol Palmer Rosalie Todaro Cheryl Turney A. H. Winder Sandie Walker Karen McQueen Jim Hiney Mike Humphries Joel Thomas Henry T. Windham Executive Assistant County Judge's Office Auditor's Office Auditor's Office County Engineer County Treasurer County Clerk' Office Bryan/College Station Eagle KBTX-TV KBTX-TV Brazos County Resident Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the Commissioners' Court meetings held May 13, 1991 and May 20, 1991. On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to appoint the following persons as presiding judges and alternate judges for the elections conducted by the county. The incomplete list will be completed before the next election. These requests were tabled at the Commissioners' Court meeting held June 24, 1991 until the County Engineer could discuss damage done to a county road by the pipe line company. The County Engineer stated that Ferguson Crossing Pipe Line Company and their subcontractor had agreed to repair the damages done on Shady Lane. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted • unanimously to approve both requests of Ferguson Crossing Pipe Company and authorized the installations. A copy of each request is attached hereto. Consideration of the final plat of the Tall Timbers Subdivision was tabled until a later date. V''4. Task Force-----Claims 12471 thru 12511 On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commis- sioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Claims as submitted. The Court next considered the recommendations of the r insurance consultant and the insurance committee. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to not advertise for bids on the county's health insurance, to remain with Northwestern National Life Insurance Company because of the 18% increase in premiums and to leave the HMO in place. That BRAZOS COUNTY is in no way responsible for any damage that might occur to any existing utility lines in the right-of-way. 5. That the line will be constructed and maintained on the county right- of way in accordance with governing laws. 6. That the line or lines will be constructed no less than forty-eight inches (4811) lower than the lowest part of the drainage or bar ditch and the drainage is to be considered at least two feet (2') below the center of the roadway. 7. That all roads be bored to forty feet (40') on either side of the centerline of the right-of-way or cased for such distance. 8. That all sites will be barracaded during construction period. 9. That the normal charge is $500 per crossing and/or $40 per rod when paralleling the roadway established by the Commissioners' Court on January 28, 1985.
