NOME AND AGENDA FOR PUBLIC EMARING
The Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing on Wednesday,
December 5, 1990 at 10:00 A.M. in the Commissioners Courtroom,
Brazos County Courthouse, Room 115, Bryan, Texas. The purpose of
the public hearing is to hear comments for or against changing the
name of Greens Prairie Road beginning at State Highway 6 and
continuing west to its end.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
DECEMBER 5, 1990
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 1990, to consider changing the
name of Greens Prairie Road to Greens Prairie Road West
beginning at State Highway 6 and continuing west to its end.
The following members of the Court were present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Absent;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Presiding;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.

The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners
Jim Hiney Eagle
Mike Frazier Calame, Linebarger & Graham
Norman Nelson Calame, Linebarger & Graham
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed change in the name of Greens
Prairie Road to Greens Prairie Road West. The change is
proposed in an effort to eliminate confusion between the
portion of Greens Prairie that lies east of State Highway 6
and is in the city limits of College Station the portion on
E the west side of the State Highway 6. This would assist
emergency personnel when answering calls.
Commissioner Norton stated in his opening remarks that
proper notice of the hearing had been given according to law.
He outlined the procedures for the hearing and asked those in
attendance for any comments on the subject and asked that they
state their names and organization. There were no comments.
On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner

Turner, the Court voted unanimously to close the Public
Hearing.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the Public Hearing was adjourned.
