PUBLIC HEARING ON 1990 TAX RATE
The Commissioners Court will hold a Public Hearing on Friday,
L'k,tober 12, 1990 at 10:00 A.M. in the Commissioners Courtroom of
the Brazos County Courthouse, 300 East 26th Street, Room 115,
Bryan, Texas. The purpose of the hearing is to hear comments from
the public on a proposal to increase the property tax rate for
1990.

OCTOBER 12, 1990
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to discuss the proposed tax rate for 1990, in
the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday,
October 12, 1990, with the following members of the Court
present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Ruth McLeod Administrative Assistant
Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners
Jim Hiney Bryan/College Station Eagle
Joe Larger KBTX-TV
Alice Rios WTAW/STAR 92 Radio Station
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed tax rate for 1990.
The County Judge stated in his opening remarks that
proper notice of the hearing had been given according to law.
He outlined the procedures for the hearing and asked those in
attendance for any comments on the subject and asked that they
state their names and organization. No citizens appeared.
The representative for the Bryan/College Station Eagle
asked if the proposed rate was $.41050. He was informed that
it was.
The County Judge closed the Public Hearing and announced
the public meeting to vote on the tax rate would be on October
18, 1990 at 10:00 a.m.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
