A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County was held in the Commissioners Courtroom in the Brazos
County Courthouse in Aryan, Brazos County, Texas beginning at
3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 1989, with the following
members of the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct l;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Roriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

The purpose of the meeting was to hear commentary for and
against the proposed reduction of the number of Justice of the
Peace and Constable Precincts to a number less than six prior to
the deadline for filing for the 1990 elections so that all
interested parties may become candidates for such offices as will
be established effective January 1, 1991.
The County Judge stated in his opening remarks that proper
notice of the meeting had been given according to law. He then
stated there would be no action on an order calling a Public
Hearing on the realigning Justice of the Peace and Constable
precincts.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
The foregoing minutes have been examined and approved in
