SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 2, 1989
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Monday, October 2, 1989, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Commissioner Norton gave the invocation and led the pledge
E
of allegiance.
The Court reconsidered an agreement between Brazos County
and the Wellborn Community Center to use the premises of the
Community Center to park various pieces of heavy equipment and
stock pile materials while the Road and Bridge Department works
in the area. In return for use of the premises, the County will
maintain the driveway of the Community Center and mow the
premises when needed. On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded
by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to enter into
agreement with the Wellborn Community Center for the use of the
premises, maintain the driveway and mow the premises. A fully
executed copy of the agreement is attached to and made a part of
these minutes.
The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted
the Treasurer's report for September 1989. A copy of which is
attached to and made a part of these minutes.

The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the
following employees.

On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner
Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the changes as
submitted.

AGREEMENT
WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Wellborn Community
Center have granted to Brazos County Road and Bridge Department
permission to park various pieces of heavy equipment and stock
pile materials (short period of time) to be used by the County in
the precinct on the Wellborn Community Center's premises. Exact
location to be determined by the Board of Directors.
It is hereby agreed to by both parties, Wellborn Community
Center and Brazos County that in exchange for the above stated
privileges, Brazos County will maintain the driveway of said
Community Center and keep mowed the premises on an 'as needed
basis.'
This agreement to be in effect for the duration of time
necessary for the completion of work in the area.
This agreement may be terminated by either party upon a
thirty (30) day notice.
It is understood that the Wellborn Community Center and it's
board members assume no responsibility for liability where the
County's equipment and materials are concerned.
