Consider and take action on personnel change of status. 8. Consider and take action on payment of claims. 9. Executive Session to discuss personnel 6252-17(2)(g). 10. Consider and take action on Executive Session. 11. Adjourn. r- I i r I 1 VOL ~__PAGE_ILL- • • I r COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING SEPTEMBER 25, 1989 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 25, 1989, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Carol Palmer Admin. Asst, to County Judge Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners Rosalie Todaro Auditor's Office A. H. Winder County Engineer Terri White Deputy Treasurer Wm. Thompson Veteran's Service Officer Elizabeth Sharp Bryan/College Station Eagle Alice Brown KBTX-TV Jon Niell KBTX-TV Ramiro Quintero Brazos County Resident Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The County Judge presented a certificate of completion of training to Veteran's Service Officer William H. Thompson. The Judge explained that Mr. Thompson takes care of all claims in this area and the work far exceeds the pay. He continued by saying that is was a great pleasure to present the certificate to Mr. Thompson. The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the Commissioners' Court meetings held August 28, 1989 and September 5, 1989. On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted. The Court next considered approval of the certification of the county maintained road mileage as submitted by the County Engineer. Holland Winder, County Engineer informed the Court the County maintained 469 miles of roads. Wilcox and Norton, the Court voted unanimously to authorized work outside county rights-of-ways for the enhancement of county road projects. Said work will be on the east end of Cole Lane, on the southeast side of the road. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees.
