A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' 'Courtroom in the

`Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
~la.m. on Monday, April 10, 1989, with the following members of the
Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; i
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;

Commissioner Sims gave the invocation and led the pledge of
allegiance.
The Court acknowledged receipt of the Extension Service
reports for March 1989:
The Court acknowledged receipt of reports from County and
Precinct Offices showing revenues collected and remitted to the
(County Treasurer. An excerpt from those reports is attached
hereto.
The Court next considered awarding the following bids:

The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the

On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner
Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Claims as
submitted.
At 10:14 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting closed
to the public so that the Court could meet in closed executive
session to discuss personnel and land acquisition.
At 10:48 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting open to
the public and announced that no action would be taken on the
:losed session.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
e meeting was adjourned.

09. General Conditions of Bidding:
We propose to furnish used machines for rental, as opposed to new and unused.
B-110. Conditions:
We are not an authorized dealer for new machines, but are an established
dealer offering rebuilt-guaranteed equipment for sale and/or rental.
C-42. Specifications: •
-We are quoting weekly and monthly rates only, but would expect you to be
responsible for any repair costs over and above those incurred as normal
wear and tear. Some examples of which we would expect you to be respon-
sible for; tires being punctured causing flats and/or tire replacement,
foreign objects causing coolant and/or lubricant loss and the subsequent
repairs, operating a machine without the proper coolants and/or lubricants
and subsequent damages.
C44. Specifications:
We would arrange for insurance coverage, at your expense against vandalism,
fire and theft. However, we and the insurance carrier would expect you to
' exercise good judgement and care of the equipment to minimize potential
damages and/or losses.
C-/6. Specifications:
A Our quoted monthly and weekly rates are based on usage not to exceed
172 and 40 hours respectively in any 30 or 7 day period. Overtime
usage would be invoiced at monthly rate (weekly rate) divided by 172
hours (40 hours) X number of hours in excess of 172 (40).
(B) One (1) week.
(C) Credit for non-usage of less than 129 or 30 hours due to inclement
weather would be at the rate of 4 hours/day X the "hourly" rate, not
to exceed 50% of the appropriate period rate.
(D) Delivery and return haul charges would be at the rate of $1.50/mile-
round trip miles, or approximately $300.00 per move.
(E) Our response time for emergencies would be within six (6) hours if
during normal working hours, otherwise, within twelve (12) hours.
