Barron Brazos County Resident The Court first considered approval of the minutes of the ,I I commissioners' Court meetings held November 28, 1988. On motion I l i y Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the 1b 1 (Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted. f The Court next considered renewal of the lease agreement` I; Ltween Brazos County and the Texas 707 Partnership for the rental f office space for the Justices of the Peace of Precinct 7 Place i~ and 2. The term of the lease will be for 12 months, commencing 'I n January 1, 1989 and ending on December 31, 1989. He then presented each of { them a plaque commemorating their service to Brazos County. i The Court next considered Budget Amendment +25, which would I reallocate funds budgeted for the office of Constable Precinct 1 7, the 85th District Court and the 272nd District Court. On Ilmotion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. The Court next considered Budget Amendment tl for the 1989 budget, which would increase funds budgeted for the departments 1 of the Justices of the Peace Precinct 7 Place 1 and 2 and increase the General Fund budget by $1,216.00. On motion by i Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, j a copy of which is attached hereto. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner IlWilcox, the Court received, approved and ordered filed as 1ff submitted the Treasurer's report for November 1988. Task Force------Claims 123946 thru 123957 On line checks - 47470 On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Claims as submitted. At 10:12 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting closed Ito the public so that the Court could meet in closed executive session to discuss land acquisition. At 10:26 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting oven to the public. on motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley the Court voted unanimously to purchase a parcel of land from "The Answer is Jesus Christ". The parcel ,located on Highway 21 W and Sandy Point Road will be used for the 1~proposed minimum security jail facility, will cost approximately 1;$106,200.00 with Brazos County being responsible for all taxes I lowed on the property. Said purchase will be based on a current survey to be done by Don Garrett and a title search to be conducted by Lawrence Title and Abstract. There being no further business to come before the Court, 1~ ,the meeting was adjourned.
