Consider and take action on request from Extension Service in regard to out of state travel. 3. Consider and take action on waiving the statutory sixty day waiting period for College Station to consider a tax incre- ment financing district. 4. Consider and take action on award of the following bids and authorize the payment thereof: (a) Personal Computers for Juvenile Services Department. (b) Patrol Cars for Sheriff's Department. 5. Consider and take action on request from AT&T to install Optic Cable in the right-of-way of the following roads in Precinct 31 (a) Democrat Road (b) Opersteny Road (c) Andert Road (d) Carraba Road (e) Old Reliance Road 6. Consider and take action on personnel change of status. 7. Payment of claims. 8. Adjourn i i i VOL _h -PACE jq~ ~~r COMMISSIONERS' COURT REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 14, 1988 ' I A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 1988, with the following members of j the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; .Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The County Judge announced that all amendments and the local proposition passed. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Administrative Assistant Admin. Pct. 3 elect The Press E u a Wore , i Joe Barron Central Counting Judge Dick Britten Brazos County Resident The first item on the agenda was to canvas the results of I, 11the General Election held November 8, 1988 to vote on national, +1state and local offices, three constitutional amendments and the !Brazos County Proposition on the Legalization of pari-mutuel Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to accept as true the cumulative county-wide totals as evidenced by the attached summary print-out and ordered the results be certified to the Secretary of State and recorded in the official Election Records of Brazos County. As required by state law, the manual recount was carried out with the following precincts being tabulated I r 3.0 1 I.B.M. The next matter for consideration by the Court was a written request submitted by the Extension Agent, Jim !;Mazurkiewicz, requesting approval for out of state travel for Carolyn Nobles and himself. Ms. Nobles traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to attend a "National Home Economics Association Conference during the week of October 1 through the 8, 1988. On ,;motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to grant the request from the County Agent and approved out of state travel expense for Ms. Nobles. Mr. Mazurkiewicz would be traveling to Aberdeen, South Dakota to accompany two Brazos County Beef Producers to select purebred I~ ;beef cattle to establish registered breeding herds for the commercial bull market. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to Igrant the request from the Extension Agent and approved payment ~of out of state travel expense for Jim Mazurkiewicz. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the sixty day waiting period for the required tax increment financing district public hearing is waived so that the City of College Sta- tion City Council can have a public hearing on the proposed Wolf Pen Creek Financing District prior to December 18, 1988. I understand and agree that: 1. The Commissioner of the Precinct in which the right-of-way lies must be notified prior to the beginning of construction in order that the Commissioner might be on hand to designate the actual location of the installation. 2. That all damage to the roadways and rights-of-way will be repaired to their original condition to the satisfaction of the Commissioner in which the roadway or right-of-ray lies. 3. That Brazos County reserves the right to require Applicant to relocate or lower any such line at no cost to Brazos County, should same become necessary due to widening or lowering, or other alteration of the roadway or right-of-way. 4. That Brazos County will in no way be responsible for any damage that might occur to any existing utility lines in the right-of-way. 5.
