Adjourn VC) L___J ___PAG I '-1, , COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING • OCTOBER 3, 1988 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 1988, with the following members of i the Court present: is R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Administrative Assistant Carol Palmer Admin. Pct. 3 Vicki Kelley Brazos County Resident The Court first considered relocating the office the Justice I r I A i i I ~ i { I , lof the Peace Precinct 2 to an office building in Wellborn, at i Ilthe corner of Fm 2154 and Church Street. The monthly rental 1would be $325.00 for larger office space and is available for immediate occupancy. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the relocation of the office of. Justice of the "Peace Precinct 2 to Wellborn and to enter into contract with Mr. Mike Hensarling for the rental of an office building for $325.00 per month. The contract period would extend until January 1, 1989, at which time a more permanent arrangement would be made. The County Judge informed the Court that it could not take action on agenda item number 2 because it was past the October 1 deadline for setting the fees of office. - `71 - - - - - -'yam ~ Commissioners' Court meeting October 3, 1988 . I On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner y Cooley, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the expenditure of $12,000.00 from C. 0. funds for the purchase of right-of-way ;along Mumford Road in precinct 4. The Court next considered the request by Brushy Water Supply Co-Op for the installation of a PVC Water Line within the 11 )!right-of-wa,• of Chick Lane in Precinct 4. On motion by Commis- i~sioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted {unanimously to approve the request of Brushy Water Supply Co-Op h ;and authorized the installation. A copy of the request is I !attached hereto. 11 The Court next considered the request by Chevron U.S.A. to l~install a 2' polyethylen pipeline for low pressure gas gather- 'ling, within the right-of-way of Kurten Lane in Precinct 3. On '!motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, !'the Court voted unanimously to approve the request of Chevron ,i !;U.S.A. and authorized the installation. A copy of the request Ilis attached hereto. Y 9 ~i Federal Express for an exterior lock box to be placed adjacent to United States Postal Service boxes at the Courthouse. The I !;agreement to commence October 1, 1988 and run until a thirty (30) ;day written cancellation or modification notice is submitted by I either Brazos County or Federal Express. After briefly explaining the situation, she and thej (Court reached the conclusion that the dumpsters should be monitored) i, to identify the people dumping trash around them and that a fourth I dumpster will help relieve the mess. That the normal charge is $500 per crossing and/or $40 per rod when paralleling the roadway established by the Commissioners' Court on January 28, 1985.
