J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The County Judge questioned the wording of the agenda it J,nd it was the consensus of the Court to place the matter on the agenda for the next commissioners' Court meeting on September 26, , Ii 1988 at 1:00 p.m. iI On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner I V0~ 'I- • t 0 ~I I I I j I ilCommissioners' Court meeting September LL, 1988 ;Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to approve the purchase of a ifcopier capable of making two sided copies for the Data Processing I ~Department. , I I Pastor Dan Bates of the Millican Volunteer Fire Department r I informed the Court of the inability of the Millican Fire I, f, Department to keep the fire trucks running on the $16,000 annually funded by Brazos County. He stated that the cost of llidbility insurance for the vehicles alone cost that much. The I ,;County Judge informed the Pastor that the law provided for rural 'areas to create a fire prevention district, and that it was the ;Position of the Court that the Millican volunteer fire fighters ,;explore the possibility of generating the interest in the Icreation of a fire district.
