SPECIAL JOINT MEETING

A special joint meeting of the Commissioners' Court of 1
Brazos County, Texas with the College Station City Council was
held in the College Station City Council Room in College ,
Station, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 12:00 p.m. on
(Monday, August 8, 1988, with the following members of the Court

Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 11
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 21
Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 31
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 41
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Ruth McLeod Administrative Assistant
Larry Ringer Mayor City of College Station
Vernon E. Schneider City Councilman
Lynn Mcllhaney City Councilman i
Jim Gardner City Councilman
Cathy Lock City Councilman
Dick Birdwell City Councilman
Ron Ragland City Councilman
The Brazos County Commissioners' Court and the College
1Station City Council meet in joint session to discuss proceedures
for handling indigent Health Care in Brazos County and City
County road construction including the roads in the City of Wixon J
Valley. The meeting was for information gathering purposes only
iso that the entities involved could better coordinate overlapping
responsibilities.
The Commissioners and Councilmen questioned each other
'extensively on proceedures followed, involving private industry
in indigent health care and commented on the proceedure followed
y the City of Bryan for funding Community Support Agencies.
In discussing city & county road construction Commissioner
Wilcox reiterated the need for an Intergovernmental Agreement.
There was no action required at this meeting and none taken.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
,the meeting was adjourned.
