The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted
;~he following reports for April 1988:
Jim Mazurkiewicz, County Extension Agent;
Carolyn Nobles, County Extension Agent;

i Monty Dozier, County Extension Agent.
The Court received, considered and approved reports from
County and Precinct officers showing revenues collected and
!iemitted to the County Treasurer. An excerpt from those reports
is attached hereto.
ii The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the
(Commissioners' Court meeting held April 18, 1988. On motion by
(Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court
Voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted.

Commissioners' Court meeting May 9, 1988
The County Judge read aloud a Proclamation proclaiming the
eek of May 14 through 21, 1988 as "Just Say No Week' to alcohol
and drug abuse throughout Brazos County. The Court joins with
Ithe Brazos Valley Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse, The
((Brazos Valley Youth Council, the United States Department of
(Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, The Service League of

ii ryan/College Station and their Committees to provide information
'land education to the young children of Brazos County. On motion
1by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court

moved to proclaim the week of May 14 through 21, 1988 as "Just
'Say No Week" to alcohol and drug abuse throughout Brazos County.

The next matter for consideration by the Court was an Order
'from the District Courts for the re-appointment of Sharon
i
11 Fairchild as County Auditor for a two (2) year term beginning
;June 4, 1987 through June 4, 1989 as prescribed by Article 1645
li
V.A.C.S.. Commissioner Cooley moved to approve the Order, the
i
motion was seconded by Commissioner Wilcox. Commissioners Wilcox
,and Cooley voted "Aye Commissioner Beard voted "No",
I
whereupon the County Judge declared the motion carried. A copy
ibf the order is attached herto.
li The Court next considered approval of the replat of Tract
f
110 Block 1, Country Properties in Precinct 1. Commissioner
II
Wilcox objected to the forty foot (401) private access easement
off Arhopulos Road between tract 6 and 7 stating it did not meet
II
,the subdivision regulations. After some discussion, on motion
by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court
voted unanimously to approve the replat subject to the developer
Iwidening the easement to comply to the subdivision regulations
,measurement of seventy (701)feet.

Pursuant to Article 1645 V.A.C.S. and e~l othe
sautes, the Court hereby appoints Sharon Fairchild, County Auditor,
to hold office for a term of two years from June 4, 1987 to June 4,
1989, and the Court hereby sets her compensation for her services at
an annual salary payable from the County General Fund in nn
accordance with Article 1645 V.A.T.S. as amended by the Regular
Session, 70th Legislature.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this Order shall be recorded in the
Minutes of the District Court, and that the Clerk of the District
Court shall certify the same for observance to the Commissioner's
Court, which shall cause the same to be recorded in its Minutes.
The said Auditor shall take the oath of office required by law
and file the proper bonds as required by law.
