Request by County Extension Agent to address Commissioners' Court. 2. Consider and take action on Arnold Subdivision Plat, Precinct 1. 3. Consider and take action on Troop Road Plat, Precinct 1. 4. Consideration of Change in Status of employees. 5. Payment of Claims. 6. Other Business - Discussion only - No action to be taken. 7. Closed Session to discuss Appraisal Board appointments. 8. O v0 {•i A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 12, 1987, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. Winder County Engineer Sandie Walker Treasurer Buddy Winn Tax Assessor/Collector Travis Nelson District Clerk Betsy Harkey CEA-Home Economics Jim Mazurkiewicz CEA-Agriculture Monty Dozier CEA-4-H Cathy Bryan Engineer's Office Ronnie Crocker Bryan/College Station Eagle Alice Brown KBTX-TV Kathy Young KBTX-TV Kelly Cartwright WTAW Bubba Moore The Press The Court received, approved and ordered filed as submitted the following reports for September 1987: Jim Mazurkiewicz, County Extension Agent; Carolyn Nobles, County Extension Agent; Betsy Harkey, County, Extension Agent; Monty Dozier, Extension Agent; The Court received, considered and approved reports from County and Precinct Officers showing revenues collected and remitted to the County Treasurer. An excerpt from those reports is attached hereto. The County Judge recognized Monty Dozier, County Extension Agent, who presented Commissioner Walter Wilcox with a placque commemerating his service and help with the livestock shows and all the help he has given the youth of Brazos County's 4-H clubs. The Court next considered approval of a plat of Arnold Subdivision in Precinct 1. Commissioner Cooley recommended the plat be referred to the City of College Station for the portion that has been annexed by them. Holland Winder, County Engineer, recommended returning the plat to the developer and ask for a revised plat showing the Graham Road frontage. It was the consensus of the Court to follow the recommendation of the Engineer and return the plat to the developer for revisions. The Court next considered approval of the Troop Road Plat. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court voted unanimously to accept the plat as submitted, construct an all weather road and pay for it from the Road and Bridge 02 fund. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees: Lange, Kenneth Brazos Center Terminate Lavender, Kris Building Maint. Terminate Nors, Bernie Sheriff Off. Terminate Rosier, Robin Building Maint. New Emp. P/T Bauder, Robert Data Processing Step Increae Schreiber, Amy Auditor's Off. Step Increase Collins, Linda J.P. Pct. 4-2 Trans. Dept. Lewis, Barbara J.P. Pct. 4-2 Reclassify Allen, Madine J.P. Pct. 4-2 Reclassify Shults, Rrebecca Auditor's Off. Reclassify On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the routine changes as submitted. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to delay action on the requests for reclassification until the next regularly scheduled Commissioners' Court meeting, giving the Court time to discuss the matter in closed session. There being no further business to come before the Court at this time, the County Judge announced at 10:15 a.m. the meeting closed to the public so that the Court could discuss the Appraisal Board appointment. The County Judge opened the meeting to the public at 11:00 a.m. and announced no action to be taken on the closed session. The meeting was recessed until Tuesday October 13, 1987 at 1:00 p.m. at which time the Court would reconvene in closed executive session. Tuesday, October 13, 1987 1:00 P.M. The County Judge reconvened the meeting at 1:00 p.m. with Commissioners Beard and Turner absent. At 1:01 p.m. the meeting was closed to the public to discuss the Appraisal Board appointment. At 1:25 p.m. the County Judge opened the meeting to the public. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to appoint Tom Borski to the Appraisal Board. There being no further business to come before the Court the meeting was adjourned.
