OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE ON THE PROPOSED TAX INCREASE

OCTOBER 9, 1986
A public hearing was held at 5:00 p.m. on October 9, 1986 in
the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos
County, Texas, to allow citizens to discuss the proposal of the
Commissioner's Court to increase the 1986 tax rate by fourteen
percent (148) over the effective tax rate as published by the Tax
Assessor Collector. The following members of the Court were
present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding:
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Ronnie Crocker Bryan/College Station Eagle
Sharon Fairchild Auditor
Carol Snedeker County Judge's Secretary
Buddy Winn Tax Assesor/Collector
Rebecca Schults Purchasing
Charles Dominike Visitor
Ruth McLeod Administrative Assistant
The County Judge opened the meeting at 5:00 p.m. and asked
for comments from the audience.
Receiving no comments, the public hearing was closed at 5:10
p.m. and the meeting was adjourned.
