COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 22, 1986
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
A.M. on Tuesday, April 22, 1986, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding:
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4 - Absent
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

The first matter to come before the Court was consideration
of the following bid:
1. Bid No. 278 - Site improvement for the Brazos Center.
(a) Young Brothers, Inc. - $129,800.00. After discuss-
ion of the only bid received the County Judge moved to
reject the bid and revise the bid specifications and re-
bid the project. The motion was seconded by Commissio-
ner Beard and carried unanimously. Commissioner Cooley
recommended that the Court advise the landscape architect
what amount the county could commit to the project. Com-
missioner Wilcox recommended that the Court review the
Budget for the Brazos Center and determine how many dol-
lars would have to be taken out of Revenue Sharing funds.

Under other business Commissioner Beard requested authoriza-
tion to negotiate with a citizen regarding supplying gravel to

the county in lieu of payment for right-of-way along Bird Pond
Road. It was the consensus of the Court that Commissioner
Beard proceed with negotiations and make a report to the Court
prior to any final commitment.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
