J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding: Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Frank Boriskie, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Sharon Fairchild Auditor David Nunnelee The Eagle Denise Fischer KTAM/KORA Melinda Hansen KBTX-TV Misael Gomez KBTX-TV Chuck Clements WTAW Ruth McLeod Admin.Asst.Commissioners Court Carol Snedeker County Judge's Secretary All members being present, the Court proceeded to set the tax rate for the year 1985. Commissioner Cooley moved to set the ad valorem tax rate for all property on the tax rolls of Brazos County, Texas be set as follows: General Fund .2335 Road and Bridge - .05 Permanent Improvement Debt Service - .0397 Road and Bridge Debt Service - .0021 Total Tax Rate $ .3253 per $100 valuation Motion was seconded by Commissioner Beard. All members voted "Aye", whereupon the County Judge announced the motion had carried and the tax rate set for the above is hereby adopted for the year 1985 and hereby levied against all property in Brazos County, this rate being 3 per cent above the effective tax rate of $.3159 per $100 valuation as published by the Tax Assessor Collector. l t , i i , i I ~G s' i , t i I i i I i I I The County Judge next laid before the Court the total amount 7 ~S ®L S -PAGE t. -..n ww: _ _ - r-ter-- L o.i't'-1: 'OJ4 da`c ~.fdtv(1 S I, ,r x I , ,I , , r j ~ F t~ S i , 'GS 61 6 t required to purchase the computer equipment that is currently being purchased on a lease purchase agreement. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to purchase the equipment and cancel the lease purchase agreement. The Court next considered the following claims submitted by the County Treasurer for payment: General Fund e Claims 16516 through 16525 On Line Checks numbered 855987 through 990 and number 857378. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the claims as submitted.
