' MAY 28, 1985
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in they
i Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
A.M. on Monday, May 28, 1985, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding:
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
s Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
a Frank Boriskie, County Clerk,

j The first matter to be considered by the Court was a Proc-
lamation proclaiming June 10, 1985, as Brazos County Blood Day.
On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Cooley,
the Court unanimously voted to sign the Proclamation.

The Court proceeded to consider the following requests to in-
stall pipelines in County rights-of-way:
1. Bluebonnet Gathering, Inc. proposed to install a 6 inch
natural gas pipeline within the right-of-way of Britten
Road and Burt Lane. On motion by Commissioner Turner,
seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unani-
mously to grant the request and authorized the installa-
tion of the pipeline.
2. City of College Station proposed to install a 4 inch PVC
sewer line across the right-of-way of Foxfire Drive in
Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded
by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unanimously to
grant the request and authorized the installation of the
sewer line.

The Sheriff recommended that the bid be awarded to Tyler Uniform
Company, because Martin Uniform no longer makes the gray shirt for
the uniforms. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Com-
missioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to award the bid to
Tyler Uniform Company.
3. Bid No. 220 - Alternative gravel sites for the Road and
Bridge Department.
1. Deep East Texas Savings $1.50 per cubic yd.
2. First Texas Equities, Inc. 1.00 per cubic yd.
3. J. Duane Nelson .75 per cubic yd.
4. Davis P. Napier 1.25 per cubic yd.
5. Eugene Bothe 2.50 per cubic yd.
After discussion Commissioner Cooley moved to allow the Road and

Bridge Department to purchase gravel from First Texas Equities,
Inc., J. Duane Nelson and Davis P. Napier for a period from May
29, 1985 through February 25, 1985. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Turner and carried unanimously.
4. Bid No. 221 - Eight printers for Tax Collector's Office.
At the request of M. J. Dean, Data Processing Manager, the award
of the bid was delayed pending further investigation.

the Court voted unanimously to award the bid to Fogle Equipment.

partment.

On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Beard,
the contract was awarded to Todaro's Meat Service.
The Court next considered a request from the Aggie Wing of
the Confederate Air Force for the transfer of three surplus mili-
tary vehicles and spare parts for use by the wing at their air
shows. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner
Beard, the Court voted unanimously to transfer the vehicles and
authorized the County Judge to sign the Bills of Sale. A copy of
each Bill of Sale is attached.

j Formal notice is hereby given that (Applicant) Bluebonnet Gathering Inc.
' proposes to place a (type) 6 inch pipeline - natural as
pipeline within the right-of-way of Road) Britten Rod
in Brazos County, Texas as follows:
1 The location or description of the proposed installation is more fully shown
I by three copies of the drawings attached to this notice. {
I (Applicant) Bluebonnet Gathering understand and agree that:
1. The County Engineer must be notified prior to the beginning of
I I construction in order that they might be on hand to designate the actual
location of the installation.
I I
2. That all damage to the roadways and rights-of-way will be repaired to
their original condition to the satisfaction of the County Engineer.

I °d 3. That BRAZOS COUNTY reserves the right to require Applicant to
relocate or lower any such line at no cost to BRAZOS COUNTY, should same II
1 become necessary due to widening or lowering, or other alteration of the
roadway or right-of-way.

4. That BRAZOS COUNTY is in no way responsible for any damage that might
occur to any existing utility lines in the right-of-way.
5. That the line will be constructed and maintained on the county right-
i of way in accordance with governing laws.
I I 6. That the line or lines will be constructed no less than forty-eight
inches (48") lower than the lowest part of the drainage or bar ditch and
the drainage is to be considered at least two feet (2') below the center
- r ~ of the roadway.
t I 7. That all roads be bored to forty feet (40') on either side of the
t
centerline of the right-of-way or cased for such distance.
N 8. That all sites will be barracaded during construction period. a
9. That the normal charge is $500 per crossing and/or $40 per rod when
paralleling the roadway established by the Commissioners' Court on
January 28, 1985.
Construction of this line will begin on or after (date) May 20, 1985

Formal notice is hereby given that (Applicant) Bluebonnet Gathering Inc.
proposes to place a (type) 6 inch i el i ne - natural gas
pipeline within the right-of-way of Road Burt Lane
in Brazos County, Texas as follows:

The location or description of the proposed installation is more fully shown
by three copies of the drawings attached to this notice.
(Applicant) Bluebonnet Gathering , understand and agree that:
1. The County Engineer must be notified prior to the beginning of
construction in order that they might be on hand to designate the actual
location of the installation.
2. That all damage to the roadways and rights-of-way will be repaired to
their original condition to the satisfaction of the County Engineer.
3. That BRAZOS COUNTY reserves the right to require Applicant to I
relocate or lower any such line at no cost to BRAZOS COUNTY, should same
become necessary due to widening or lowering, or other alteration of the
roadway or right-of-way.
4. That BRAZOS COUNTY is in no way responsible for any damage that might
occur to any existing utility lines in the right-of-way.
5. That the line will be constructed and maintained on the county right-
of way in accordance with governing laws. '
6. That the line or lines will be constructed no less than forty-eight
inches (48") lower than the lowest part of the drainage or bar ditch and
the drainage is to be considered at least two feet (2') below the center
of the roadway.
7. That all roads be bored to forty feet (40') on either side of the
centerline of the right-of-way or cased for such distance.
8. That all sites will be barricaded during construction period.
9. That the normal charge is $500 per crossing and/or $40 per rod when
paralleling the roadway established by the Commissioners' Court on
January 28, 1985.
