SPECIAL MEETING
' f
APRIL 26, 1985
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court' of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in
the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at
10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 26, 1985, with the following mem-
bers of the Court presents

The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

The first matter to come before the Court was consideration
of a contract between Brazos County and the Department of High-
ways and Public Transportation for an anti DWI project. The con-
tract is fully funded for eighteen months with the County being
reimbursed for the salary for the coordinator and expenses. On
motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Turner the
Court voted unanimously to authorize the County Judge to execute
the contract on behalf of Brazos County.
The Court next discussed contracting with Ray Associates, Inc.
to develop a personnel manual and an employee handbook at an approx-
imate cost of $7,403.00. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded
by Commissioner Beard the Court voted unanimously to authorize the
.County Judge to execute the agreement.
The Court proceeded to consider a budget amendment for the
County Attorney's Office. Such amendment would fund two new posi-
tions, an Investigator and a Clerk to assist with hot check collec-

tion. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner
Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amend-
ment. A copy is attached hereto. 4
J The Court next reconsidered bids for a Dryer for the Sheriff's
Department. The Court had previously awarded the contract for de-

livery and installation of the Dryer to Commercial Equipment Com-
pany; however, a letter from the Company advised that their bid

was a package bid with the Washer. On motion by Commissioner Beard, .1
seconded by Commissioner Turner the Court voted unanimously to a-

ward the contract to Pallerin Laundry Machine Company for the pur-
chase of the Dryer in the amount of $1,675.00.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
