HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-11-26-1000AM-SpecialCOMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 26, 1984 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 26, 1984, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding: Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Kinerd County Auditor Jann Snell The Eagle Ruth McLeod Admin.Asst.to Commissioners Court The Court first considered a request from Commissioner of Precinct 2 for authorization to pay Roy Elliott, employee for Precinct 2, for unused vacation time. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Turner the Court voted unani- mously to authorize the payment for unused vacation time. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to set the date and time for the public hearing of the 1985 Revenue Sharing Budget and the 1985 County Budget at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 10, 1984. The Court further ordered the following notices published in the local newspaper as a "Public Notice to the Public." l OL,& PAGE-2"10 r - t S I "NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON BRAZOS COUNTY BUDGET FOR 1985" Public notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Braan, Brazos County, Texas on Monday, December 10, 1984, at 1:00 P.M. for the purpose of discussing the 1985 budget, filed with the County Clerk, and now remaining on file in the Office of the County Clerk of said County, all in accordance with law. Taxpayers and others interested are invited and urged to acquaint themselves with the said budget during the time it remains on file with the County Clerk before the hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing, final action will be taken by the Commissioners Court of Brazos County Texas, for the adoption of the budget for 1985, as finally agreed upon. R. J. The following budget is proposed for fiscal year ended December 31, 1985. Category Amount Contracted services $103,200 Capital outlay--land 600,000 Capital outlay--equipment 5,000 Capital outlay--building & grounds 97,000 TOTAL $805,000 The meeting will be held at the Brazos County Courthouse, Bryan, Texas for the purpose of discussion of the proposed bud- get at 1:00 p.m. The proposed budget may be examined on weekdays at the Brazos County Clerk's Office, Brazos County Courthouse be- tween 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. All interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written and oral comment. Senior citizens are encouraged to attend and comment. There being no business to come before the Court the meeting was adjourned.
