The Commissioners Court met in Special Session on Thursday,
l

November 8, 1984, at 11 55 A.M. in the Commissioners Courtroom,
of the Brazos County Courthouse for the purpose of canvassing
the votes of the General Election held November 6, 1984. The
following members of the Court were present.
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding.
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1,
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Billy Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3,
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Republican Party
The County Judge read aloud a Court Order For Recount from
the 272nd Judicial District Court. Such Court Order ordered a
manual recount of the ballots cast in voting precincts 20, 21, 32,
33, 34, and 35 for the office of Brazos County Sheriff. A copy
of such order is attached.
The Court proceeded to canvass the results of the General
Election and Constitutional Amendment Election held November 6,
1984, with the exception of the race for County Sheriff. On motion
by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court
voted unanimously to accept as true the cumulative county wide
totals prepared by the Central Counting Stations together with
write-in ;rotes tabulated therewith, and ordered the results cer-
tified to the Secretary of State of the State of Texas and record-
ed in the Official Election Records of Brazos County, Texas. ~A
copy of such results are attached to and made a part of these minutes.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
