HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-10-22-1000AM-Specialr b 't ~f I i I ,r COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 22, 1984 { , l A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10 00 A M on Monday, October 22, 1984, with the following members of the Court present R J Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding Bill J Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Billy E Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Frank Boriskie, County Clerk The following citizens and officials were in attendance • 401 , Carol Snedeker County Judge's Secretary Van Kinerd County Auditor Sandy Lange Treasurer's Office B V Elkins County Treasurer Denise Fischer KTAM-KORA Mary Ann Ward County Clerk's Office Maria Sandberg Auditor's Office Jann Snell The Eagle Jay Blinderman TAMU - Journalism Billy Eubanks County Engineer Ruth McLeod Adm Asst Commissioners Court L The Court first considered the minutes of the Commissioners Court Meetings held September 10, 1984, September 17, 1984 and September 24, 1984 On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted Next to be considered was an Order appointing J Bradley Smith to sit as Special Judge for County Court at Law from October 27, 1984 through November 18, 1984 After discussion Commissioner i Beard moved to appoint Judge J Bradley Smith as Special Judge for County Court-at-Law The motion was seconded by Commissioner Turner with Commissioners Beard and Turner and the County Judge i voting "Aye°" Commissioner Cooley abstained A full copy of the Order is attached hereto I ii `I II li f ~I J r` ri r PA & e Z-p-)- "F01_ ~l I t t r F i i iii 11 Next to be considered was the Final Plat of Rainbow Acres, Second Installment, in Precinct 3 and the extra territorial jurisdiction of the City of College Station After review of the Plat Commissioner Beard moved to approve the plat as submit- ted, subject to the approval of the Planning Commission of the City of College Station The motion was seconded by Commissioner Turner and carried unanimously The Court next considered requests to install pipelines in county rights-of-way as follows a Clajon Gas Company proposed to install a 6 inch pipe- line within the right-of-way of Allen Farm Road in Precinct 1 b Ferguson Crossing Pipeline Company proposed to install a 4 inch gas line within the right-of-way of Varisco Lane in Precinct 4 On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unanimously to approve both applications and au- thorized the installation of both pipelines A copy of both ap- plications are attached The Court next considered the award of bid No 165 for metal culvert pipes and the payment thereof Base Bid 1 120ft-15"-16 gauge round culvert 2 120ft-24"-16 gauge round culvert 3 200ft-36"-16 gauge round culvert 4 200ft-48"-16 gauge round culvert 5, 280ft-60"-16 gauge round culvert 6, 280ft-60"-14 gauge round culvert 7 120f t-72"-16 gauge round culvert 8 120ft-72"-14 gauge round culvert 9, 120ft-84"-16 gauge round culvert 10 120ft-34"-14 gauge round culvert Texas Farm & Seabreeze Corrugators Ranch Culvert $630 $5 49 $6 49 9 85 8 00 10 29 14 90 12 26 16 06 22 75 18 02 26 27 28 85 26 47 32 83 36 00 30 39 39 08 34,50 30 39 39 41 43 00 35 27 47 17 40 20 35 82 45 98 50 00 41 79 I 54 79 Farm and Ranch bid is based on truck load quantities ti I~ L ,L {Y i 91 e( Y ~I r;
