Butch I t. was working on his citizenship badge for the Scouts. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner f Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to appoint John Carroll to the Brazos County Historical Commission. y ~ 1t y? P I The next matter to come before the Court was consideration 3 of amendments to the 1984 budget as follows: q ~ S Sheriff's Department 272nd District Court Auditor°s Office Revenue Sharing ; ` County Court-At-Law Constable, Precinct 4 Constable, Precinct 7 s County Attorney ; On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Turner A s the Court voted unanimously to approve the amendments as submitted. i A copy of all amendments are attached. ~ I I Next to come before the Court was an agreement for payment t of costs associated with mental health commitments with Travis i County After having the contract explained, Commissioner Turner 1 { moved to authorize the County Judge to enter into contract with ~ Travis County for such services. The motion was seconded by 1 Commissioner Beard and carried unanimously. A full copy of the a contract is attached hereto. 0 The Court next considered a request from the Brazos Valley Community Action Agency for assistance in paying storage gees for perishable commodities that are distributed to low income and y elderly residents throughout Brazos County. On motion by Com- missioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley the Court voted { unanimously to assist in payment of half of the storage coat, not A to exceed $100.00 monthly. Twenty-five (25) 6 foot tables and twenty-five (25) 8 foot tables for the Brazos Center: 6 Foot 8 Foot News Office Supply - Krueger $68.00 ea. 76.50 ea. Engineer & Office Supply - Krueger $72.30 ea. 85.50 ea. Maniord Executive Furniture - Correll $55.00 ea. 64.50 ea. Bailey Oxygen & Tool Co. Inc.- Krueger $75.00 ea. 190.00 ea. After discussion Commissioner Beard moved to purchase the 8 foot 1Krueger tables from News Office Supply Company for $76.50 each and the 6 foot Correll tables from Maniord Executive Furniture for $55.00 each. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooley and carried unanimously, and authorized the payment thereof. Producers Gas Company proposed to install a 6 inch natural gas pipeline across and within the rights-of-way of Dowling Road and Graham Road in Precinct 1. Commissioner Cooley moved to authorize the installation at a charge of $50.00 per rod. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Beard and carried unanimously. 2. GTE Sprint proposed to install a buried cable within the rights-of-way of: Cain Road North Graham Road Dowling Road Straub Road Stousland Road Schehin Road High Prairie Road Henderson Road Ward Road White Switch Road as in Precinct 1. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the 1 installation, without cost to the company. 3. Travis County must on occasion treat in its judici- al system mentally ill citizens of Brazos County, v NOW, THEREFORE, it is the desire of Travis County and Brazos !
