One new or used tractor for Precinct 1. Commissioner Cooley requested that he be allowed additional time to inspect the equipment bid. 2. Purchase of Pit Run Gravel by Precinct 1: (a) E. E. Allen, Jr. $3.00 per cubic yard (b) Ina Mae Barker $3.00 per cubic yard (c) C&C Crushed Stone, Inc. $2.25 per cubic yard On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Turner the Court voted unanimously to accept all three bids and authorized that the names of the bidders be added to the suppliers for pit run gravel as previously approved. 3. Sale of one 1984 Ford vehicle by the Sheriff's Department: (a) Bryan Auto Salvage Pool - $628.00 On recommendation by the Sheriff, and motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Cooley the Court voted unanimously to re- ject the bid and authorized the advertisement to rebid the vehicle for sale. On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve an amendment to the 1984 Budget of the Juvenile Probation Department in the amount of $39,454. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Turner and carried unanimously. i The Court next heard a proposal from Gene Oates representing the Elks Lodge to furnish flags to the Volunteer Fire Departments provided the Commissioners or fire departments would furnish the flag poles. After discussion it was the consensus of the Court to endorse the project and to assist the Volunteer Fire Depart- ments in obtaining the poles and hardware for flying the flags. The Texas Department of Human Resources, hereinafter called the Department, and Brazos Countv, Texas, hereinafter called the County, entered into an agreement effective February 3, 1484for fundinq of prosecution of food stamo viola- tions.
