A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
I
County, Texas, was held in the Lecture Rehearsal Room of the
Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Brazos County,
Texas, beginning at 8 30 A M on Friday, December 2, 1983,
with the following members of the Court present
R J Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding
Bill J Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1,
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2,
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk
The following citizens and officials were in attendance

' The first matter to come before the Court was to set the
date and time for the Public Hearing on the 1984 Proposed Budget
i
and,the Proposed Use Hearing for Revenue Sharing Funds On
motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox
the Court voted unanimously to set December 12, 1983 at 1 30 P M
as the date and time for the Public Hearing and ordered the
following notices be publish in the local newspaper
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON BRAZOS COUNTY BUDGET FOR 1984
Public notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held
at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Brazos County,
Texas, on Monday, December 12, 1983, at 1 30 P M for the purpose
of discussing the 1984 budget, filed with the County Clerk on Dec-
ember 1, 1983, and now remaining on file in the Office of the Coun-
ty Clerk of said County, all in accordance with the law

1Taxpayers and others interested are invited and urged to acquaint
themselves with the said budget during the time it remains on file
with the County Clerk before the hearing
At the conclusion of the hearing, final action will be taken byll f
the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas for the adopts n
of the budget for 1984, as finally agreed upon

NOTICE OF REVENUE SHARING PROPOSED USE HEARING
A proposed use hearing for general revenue sharing purposes will
be held on December 12, 1983 for all interested citizens of Brazos
County, Texas.' The amount of general revenue sharing funds to be
discussed for this fiscal year is $656,727.00.
The meeting will be held at 1:30 P.M. for the purpose of discussion
of possible uses of general revenue sharing funds at Brazos Center,
3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Texas. All interested citizens will
have the opportunity to give written and oral comment on uses of
the funds. Senior citizens are encouraged to attend and comment,

The Court next discussed the time for closing the County
Offices for the Christmas Holidays. After discussion and on
motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by'Commissioner Wilcox
the Court voted unanimously to close all County Offices on Fri-
day, December 23, 1983 and Monday, December 26, 1983 in obser-
vance of the Christmas Holidays.
There being no further business the Court adjourned.

added Monday, December 26th to the date previously approved for
closing the Courthouse in observance of the Christmas Holidays
