HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-11-28-1000AM-Speciali r COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 28, 1983 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Lecture Rehearsal Room of the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10 00 A M on Monday, November 28, 1983, with the following members of the Court present R J Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding Bill J Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4, The following citizens and officials were in attendance Don Ward Brazos County MPO Mary Ann Ward County Clerk's Office Sandy Tucker League of Women Voters Mark Meadors KBTX-TV Sandra Whitmore KTAW Carol Snedeker County Judge's Secretary Greg Moses KTAM/KO RA On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to approve for payment the y statement of Utley James of Texas, Inc , in the amount of $455,394 76 for work completed in the modifications and additions I I I to the Courthouse i I On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Cbmmiss1ioner 1 Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to pay the statement of Jack W Cumpton, Architect for architectural service in connection with modifications and additions to the Courthouse C ~ J The Court next considered a request from Tom $istrunk, County ' I a Extension Agent for authorization to pay Linda Mar~in, Secretary for six days unused vacation time After discussi n and on motion ~F by the County Judge seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court ~ j voted unanimously to approve payment of the unused vacation time ~l and to amend the budget accordingly ~y VO AuEAlq 1 ~ 1 .or I 1 Next to be considered was an application from Gulf Oil Company to install a three inch fiberglass gas line within the ritht-of-way of Dilly Shaw Tap Road in Precinct 2. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Cooley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the application and to au- thorize the installation subject to the receipt of an additional $275.00 fee. A copy of such application is attached to these minutes. The Court next considered an amendment to the 1983 Budget for the Sheriff's Department. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Turner the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment; a copy of which is attached. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Turner the Court voted unanimously to approve the Change of Status of the following employees: Cecile Moriell Coonrod Kung-ChunglMay Ling Tommie Lee Green Travis B. Bryan, III William R. Turner David Johnson Terry Craig Ward Clay Ruffino Sandra Kay Lange Margie K.
