HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-08-22-1000AM-Special3, < COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING AUGUST 22, 1983 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, was held in the Lecture Rehearsal Room of the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 22, 1983, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding: Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Carol Snedeker County Judge's Office Donald W. Vance Vance, Bruchez and Goss Paul Rios KBTX-TV Mike Kennedy KTAM-KORA Radio Jann Snell The Eagle Mary Ann Ward County Clerk's Office Gail Brown Personnel Diane Macfarlane Intern - County Judge's Office Van Kinerd Auditor's Office The first matter to come before the Court was an amendment to the 1983 Budget for the County Clerk's Office to accomodate for additional employee at the entry level. On motion by Comm- issioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve the amendment. A copy is attached. The Court next considered Change of Status for the following employees: Ernest Gordon Ellis Debby J. Kees Ede J. Seain Mariam Marks Maria Antonia Flores Oliver I. Fields Ralph F. Jones Santos M. Alvarez Henry Jean Mills Tax Office Health Department 85th. District Court 85th. District Court Health Department Sheriff's Office Sheriff's Office Sheriff's Office Health Department After discussion Commissioner Beard moved to approve the Status of E. E. Gordon at an annual salary of $16,624.00. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Turner and carried unanimously.
