On motion by Com-- missioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unanimously to appoint Commissioner Turner and Commissioner Cooley, as'the County's representatives on the Board. Next to be considered were the following requests to utilize I County right-of-way for installation of transmission lines: 1. Bryan Pipeline proposed to install an oil line across i the right-of-way of Rabbit Lane in Precinct 4. On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Beard the Court voted unanimously to grant the request and to authorize the installation. i 2. Wixon Water Supply proposed to install a water line in the rights-of-way of Dilly Shaw Tap Road and Reed Road in Precinct 2. On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, sec- onded by Commissioner Beard the Court voted unanimously, to grant the request and 'to authorize the installation of the water line in both rights-of-way. A copy of both requests are attached hereto. The County Judge laid before the Court a letter from the Texas Justice Court Training Center advising the Court that Judge Mary C. Horn had successfully completed a forty hour course in r r the duties of the office of Justice of the Peace as,required by law. The Court proceeded to canvass the results of the Special Election for United States Representative, Districi 6, held February 12, 1983 as follows: H,. Martin Gibson 25 votes Joe R. English 12 votes Rex Carey 10 votes Bill Powers 61 votes John Henry Faulk 626 votes Louis C. Davis 12 votes Phil Gramm 11,513 votes Joe "Doc" Agris 25 votes Dan Kubiak 5,028 votes Carl A. Nigldazzo 17 votes George M. Next to be considered were bids for the County Depository for the 1983-84 Biennium. Bids from the following Banks had been received and opened on February 7, 1983. I , First Bank and Trust First City National Bank First National Bank Republic Bank A&M - United Bank College Station On motion-by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Beard the selection of the County Depository for the 1983-84 Biennium was tabled until Monday, February 28, 1983 at 10:00 A.M. to en- able the Court time to study all bids further. l~ I ~ I y;' ~e ,a f i d t , , I— Under other business the Court was advised that Easterwood Airport desired to use a portion of the money received from the County to purchase a fire truck and to construct a building to house the fire truck.
