The Court expressed their support for the activi- ties supervised by the Agents and commended their ability to reach I such a wide group of citizens. , The Court reconvened in the Commissioners Courtroom and pro- ceeded to consider the following bids received for the sale of surplus county property: 1. 1975 International Harvester Dump Truck. (a) AAA Auto Sales - $1,102.79 ± (b) Bryan Auto Sales - $1,517.00 . 4 2. Galion T400 Motor Grader I ' (a) Bryan Salvage y On motion by Commissioner Beard, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, - the Court voted unanimously to reject all bids, i1 i E h t .~t u o t' k \y r ~ 6 The next matter to come before the Court was a discussion of the County's Subdivision Regulations. Developer Norman Godwin voiced his objection to the recommended amendment requiring a 300 foot road frontage, Leonard Milsap voiced his objection to in- creasing the lot size to 2 acres, After considerable discussion, it was the consensus of the Court that the matter would be consider- ed on the 4th Monday in January. a The Court next considered the following Plats: 1. Preliminary Plat of White Creek Subdivision in Pre- cinct 1. After review of the Plat and on motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Beard the Court voted to approve the Plat subject to the addition of a 60 foot easement on the north westerly side of the subdivision for a period of 10 years. 2. Preliminary and Final Plat of Canyon Creek West, Sub- division in Precinct 4, After review of the Plats and on motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court voted to approve the Preliminary Plat. On motion by Commissioner Stasny, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox the Court voted to approve the Final Plat and grant a variance from the Regulations regarding the turn around on property not owned by the Developer. After review of the Plat and on motion by Commissio- ner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Beard the Court voted unanimously to approve the Plat with the under- standing that the homeowners were responsible for maintenance of the drainage easement as it drains in- to Reserve Tract 2. The Court having received and opened bids for a used induct- , rial tractor equipped with backhoe for Precinct 1 proceeded to con- , sider the following bids: Cen Tex Tractor - $22,750.00 Hyco Equipment - 124,930.00 Brazos Machinery - 25,344.75 U Rent M - 35,750.00 Fountain Tractor Rental - $15,890.00 Hyco Equipment _ $17,500.00 Tom Fairey $17,500.00 On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Beard the Court voted unanimously to accept the=low bid of Hyco•Equipment Co. for a John'Deere-31OA-and authorized hiepayment thereof. The Court next considered Change of Status for the following employees: Sally Takacs County Judge's Office Peggy Clay Tax Office Debby J. Kees Health Department Debby Towslee Tax Office Michael J. Minoia Health De?artment Sheri L. Toumbs Treasurer s Office Margie K. Jones Treasurer's Office Paul Cantrell Road & Bridge Pct.3 Sandra Lange Treasurer's Office On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny the Court voted unanimously to approve the Change of Status as submitted. Under other business, Commissioner Beard brought before the Court the matter of the purchase of 43.85 acres in Precinct 3 at a cost of approximately $110,300. Such property to be used for a landfill and/or the storage of materials for Precinct 3. After much discussion concerning the use of the property and the payment thereof, Commissioner Beard asked that some decision be made con- cerning the purchase so that he could advise the seller of the County's intent. It was the consensus of the Court that Commissio- ner Beard be authorized to negotiate a contract for the Court's approval. Bryan Pipeline Company to install oil lines in the following rights-of-way: i (a) Marino Road in Precinct 2 1. (b) Boatcallie Road in Precinct 2 i On motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Beard i the Court voted unanimously to approve the applications as sub- mitted. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, presiding: - Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2. ! The first matter to be considered was the Preliminary Plat of Shenandoah in Precinct 1, and the extraterritorial jurisdiction I I of the City of College Station. After discussion Commissioner I I Cooley moved to approve the Plat subject to its approval by the 1 College Station Parks and Recreation Commission, and to grant a variance on the bond to agree with College Station Bonding. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny and carried unanimously.
