I } ' • taa L REGULAR MEETING MAY 10, 1982 A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos .County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, May 10, 1982, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding: Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3; W. A. On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the Court voted unanimously to approve and pay the state- ment of Jack W. Cumpton & Associates, Inc., in the amount of $2,570.88 for extra work on the Annex and Tax Office. The Court next considered the following requests to utilize County rights-of-way: 1. Producer's Gas Company proposed to install a Gas Pipe - ~F line in the rights-of-way of: }f M1t. (a) Weedon Road in Preicnct 3 E (b) Vick Road in Precinct 3 (c) Long Trussel Road in Precinct 3 (d) Saxon Road in Precinct 3 I (e) Wickson Lake Road in Precinct 3 ' (f) Clear Lake Road in Precinct 3 H t r 1 ' •9i _ ' ' r ~ b© ' hhhh~} , r 1 4~1 f r~ On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Stasny, the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the Commissioners' Court Meetings held March 15, 1982, March 22, 1982,' and April 2, 1982, withoutl' change. The Court next considered a request from the Sheriff for authorization to'advertise for bids for the sa3e of four vehhiles in that department. After being assured that the vehichles would be too costly to repair and maintain in good running condition, i Commissioner Beard moved to authorize the County Auditor to ad- vertise the the vehicles for sale. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Stasny, and carried unanimously. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to re-appoint Topaz Hughes to the Child Welfare Board. Buddy Winn, Tax Assessor-Collector requested the Court to reallocate funds from the Deliquent Tax Roll budget line item to accomodate the purchase of 2 typewriters and additional sum- mer employees. After discussion it was the consensus of the Court that the Tax Assessor-Collector submit the figures for consideration. Next to be considered was the Preliminary Plat of BAYER IN- DUSTRIAL PARK in Precinct 2 and the extraterritorial jurisdic- tion of the City of Bryan. After review of the Plat and motion of Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by the County Judge, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Plat subject to tre widening of the right-of-way to 80 feet, and approval of the Planning Com- mission of the City of Bryan. The County Judge next laid before the Court a request for funding a communications system for the Brazos Valley Regional ' Medical Emergency Service in the amount of $5,000. After having the services explained and that the County's contribution would be matched by other funds Commissioner Beard moved to grant the t , I 1 ' request and authorized the payment of such funds and to amend the Revenue Sharing Budget accordingly. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooley and carried unanimously.
