SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 2, 1982
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in
the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at
9:00 A.M. on Friday, April 2, 1982, with the following members
of the Court present:
W. A. Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4, presiding:
Bill J. Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Billy E. Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Debbie Monroe KBTX-TV
Joe Oliver KBTX-TV
Van Kinerd Auditor's Office
Arnold Dittfurth Auditor's Office
Tammy Pardi KAGC News
The Court having previously received bids for a used truck
and trailer for Precinct 3 and warded the bid to Twin City Inter-
national, Inc. in the amount of $47,000 proceeded to discuss the
payment of the equipment. After discussion Commissioner Beard
moved to authorize the payment of $47,000 for a 1981 model Inter-
national Harvester dump truck, to authorize the Commissioner of
Precinct 3 to issue a Time Warrant to the First National Bank in
the amount of $30,000 for the payment thereof and to amend the
budget accordingly. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cooley
and carried unanimously.
There being no further business the Court adjourned.

THAT WHEREAS, on April 2 , 19 82 the Court heard and approved
a budget amendment or the 1982 Bu get year for Brazos County, Texas.
WHEREAS, an emergency expenditure is necessary, due to grave public
necessity to meet unusual and unforseen conditions which could not be
reasonably included in the original budget adopted -December_8._1981_,
the following amendement(s) to the original are hereby authorized:
