COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 14, 1981
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas, was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in
the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at
9 00 A M. on Wednesday, January 14, 1981, with the following
members of the Court present
R J Holmgreen, County Judge, presiding
Bill J Cooley, Commissioner of Precinct 1,
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2,
Billy E Beard, Commissioner of Precinct 3,
W A Stasny, Commissioner of Precinct 4,
Frank Boriskie, County Clerk
The following citizens and officials were in attendance

The County Judge opened the meeting and announced the pur-
pose of this meeting was to consider the APPLICATION TO CANCEL
MASSAGE PERMIT for the MASSAGE PARLOR PERMIT issued to WILLIA14
T. BROWN doing business as ANNS SPA, ANN BROWN, doing business
as ANNS SPA and MASSAGERS PERMITS issued to DEBRA JEAN LAWSON,
JOHNNIE WINDER BRIMBERRY, CRYSTAL DAWN SHUGART, and MARY LINDA
TAYLOR.

William R. Vance was present to act as legal counsel for
the Commissioners' Court
Marlene Vail, Court reporter, was present to record the
proceedings.
Travis B. Bryan, III, District Attorney, was present in
support of the application.
William T. Brown was present in person and represented
by his attorney, Mr. Laird Palmer.
Mr. Palmer announced that he represented all parties named
in the Application and that he was not prepared to proceed at
this time on grounds that all persons named in the Application
had not been properly notified, that the Applications served
on William T. Brown and Ann Brown were not complete in that
they did not include the attachments, and that all persons
named in the Application were not present, and requested a
continuance for two weeks.
Mr. Bryan asked that the hearing continue, that all par-
ties did not require notification,
The County Judge announced that the Court agreed to con-
tinue the hearing until Friday, January 30, 1981 at 9:00 A.M.
and asked if Mr. Palmer acknowledged receipt of the police
reports and accepts service of Notice of the hearing for all
persons named in the Application, to which Mr. Palmer answered
"yes", whereupon the County Judge announced the hearing con-
tinued.

The County Judge announced the hearing closed and the Court
proceeded to consider other matters to come before the Court,
' The Court next considered a request by Sam Fachorn, Con-
stable of Precinct 5, for the appointment of three (3) Deputy

Constables and thirteen (13) Reserve Constables On motion
by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner Beard, the
Court voted unanimously to appoint the following persons as
Deputy Constables and Reserve Deputy Constables-
1. E. W. Sayers, Deputy Constable
2, Danny McClain, Deputy Constable
3. Earnest Ortez, Deputy Constable
4, Terry Bullard, Reserve Deputy Constable
5. Art Dixon, Reserve Deputy Constable
6. Wally Groff, Reserve Deputy Constable
7. Milton Marek, Reserve Deputy Constable
8 Charles Meliski, Reserve Deputy Constable
9. Charles McCulloch, Reserve Deputy Constable
y 10. Kay Orsak, Reserve Deputy Constable
11 Chester Price, Reserve Deputy Constable
12. Melvin Ryan, Reserve Deputy Constable
13. Charles Sheffield, Reserve Deputy Constable
14. Ed Sims, Reserve Deputy Constable
15 Jimmy Wilborn, Reserve Deputy Constable
16 Eddie Lohse, Reserve Deputy Constable
On motion by Commissioner Cooley, seconded by Commissioner
Beard, the Court unanimously voted to amend the 1981 Budget
for the District Attorney's office. A copy of such amendment
is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned
